Very enjoyable wine themed evening, with an accompanying 4 course meal.
Lovely selection of Rhone wines presented by Alastair Gibson of Heritage Wines.
The dinner was great, bar one course, the duck, which had too many sinew strands, making it very chewy - shame.
It's a lovely setting in Emsworth.
The service is very friendly and welcoming.

What a fantastic first visit to this amazing restaurant. A birthday celebration made extra special as we had a window table and a fantastic choice from the Al a carte menu. The staff were so friendly and attentive, and were instantly able to answer any questions about the menu. One of the party had a yeast intolerance and it appeared that the whole menu had been planned so that nothing was off limits, even the bread was sourdough. What a special place, can’t wait to find a reason to go back.

Went for over night stay and the tasting menu at the restaurant. Very warm welcome, everything spotlessly clean. Lovely room with fantastic views over the harbour. Did I say warm welcome and spotless. Food was outstanding as well. Menu varied and truly excellent. Continental breakfast in the morning was lovely. Service excellent throughout and I think it was all reasonably priced. What a find, we will be back.

We went for lunch today 28th August 2025. It was a really lovely dining experience, so relaxed, so unrushed, so tasty and extremely well presented. Carolina was the best host, professional in every way. What a joy. Thank you. I scored the rooms but we didn't see them. However, given the wonderful lunch we have had; the whole place is spotless and tastefully decorated, I don't see that they would be much different.

Brilliant Food! One of the best meals of my life!

We got the scallops from the a la carte menu and combined that with the set menu and were throughly happy with service (Sofia, our server was excellent!) and quality of food as well as the generous serving size.

The smoked duck was just delicious! The gazpacho too was a delight- the Skate had been deboned so no messing around with bones!

I ordered the Fillet of Hake and was blown away by the sauces. The food ate well separately as well as with different combinations. My brother got the Korean BBQ and the puffed corn on this was a fabulous surprise! The roasted scallops had an amazing peach-chilli zing. And save space for desserts! So delicious and super tasty.

The dishes are delightful, imaginative and delicious. Definitely recommend making a booking to eat here.

I had the tasting menu, absolutely spot on. The staff are very content and observant. Couldn't find a fault. Spot on and kudos to the chef/s! Loved it, I'll definitely be back.

Visited 36 on Saturday 10th. Had a truly fantastic meal, as always! Service was first class, friendly and knowledgeable about the food being served. My steak was sublime. We have been visiting 36 for many years and it seems to be just getting better.
Without a doubt will be going back.

Started off sat out on a dirty cobweb balcony and got forgotten about. Had to remind the staff we were waiting for drinks- They brought out warm prosecco which I had to send back.

The steak was tiny and nothing special, weve bought nicer ones from the supermarket.

The lamb which was just a lump of fat so didn't eat it.

I had cheese board for desert as I was still hungry. It was £15 for 4 tiny pieces of cheese and 4 crackers.

The decor is stuffy and dated and to make things worse, the building was boiling hot with no fan or air con etc so had to keep getting up inbetween courses to go cool down.

It would be nice if they didn't try and make the place ponsy with random appetisers inbetween courses and instead, just serve good quality food, which sadly they did not.

Hard pass for us. Shame as it is in such a lovely location and has amazing potential.
