Really awful customer service this afternoon. Twice I was barged in front of by staff stocking shelves as I was just about to make a selection and they stood in front and turned their backs on me without any acknowledgement. Then the till member of staff failed to look me in the eye or acknowledge my existence, even when I said thank you after I’d taken my bag. Far too busy in conversation with another member of staff. If you want to be insulted as a customer, come here, if not, avoid the place. Management you need to get your staff into a charm school pretty damn quick. I won’t be back to find out if you do.

Horrible manager speaks so terribly to staff. I witnessed the harassment and bullying of a young member of staff. The Girl couldn’t have been more than 20 years of age, and she was so snide I could not believe it. She had a blonde bob but failed to get her name. This should be reported.

The staff here are always friendly (hence the two stars) but since moving to its new location this co-op is very poor. The aisles are extremely narrow and its difficult to move around people, staff restocking shelves etc without banging into people. There is a higher range of items but not nearly enough stock for the area that it serves meaning that they frequently run out of things before they can restock. I gave them the benefit of the doubt during the fuel shortages and the fact there were shortages in other places but now it seems to be just this co-op. The often don't have basic things like coca -cola or much of anything in the pastry and cold cuts fridge. Its also very expensive.

Brilliant staff; friendly, helpful team but what a shame that the company have reduced the sq footage and packed the new store so densely that nothing is easily accessible and aisles are impossibly narrow/small.
Really oppressive shopping experience that's worse than ever (& several local independents) with *everything* wrapped in plastic, limited range and only mitigated by the staff attitude.

Nice, small and local, great for our quick daily shop. They've recently relocated to right nextdoor to the previous location, aisles seems to be a bit narrower now...

Staff are nice and helpful, and there's a bunch of self service stations if you prefer the DIY way.

Inventory is a bit hit and miss... Especially on the fresh fruit & veg, and fresh meat section. Beer selection is always great though! 🍻

Tip: if you shop with Co-Op a lot, it's totally worth it getting their (free) membership card, and earn pretty nifty credit as you shop. Good times!!

Since the move next door, Lewes Road Co-OP has taken a step backward. Aisles are so narrow you cant get past when someone is stocking the shelves. Never any fresh bread or pastries on the shelves as they are so narrow they go out of stock after 3 sales. Staff are great though! Used to shop here every morning but no longer...

Go up
