Filey has a good variety of shops set in a lovely location. Whilst walking round the town today I popped into Couplands. It was very well stocked and laid out to perfection. There was a great range of food on offer. The staff were very polite. I opted for two steak bakes as the weather was a bit nippy. Sat on the front looking out to sea whilst eating them. Lovely.

I wish I could ask for a box salad to be made up without staff sighing and giving me a look of distain. If they feel that way, could they at least wait until they are away from the customer. This is not all staff but to be greeted like that is certainly not customer friendly.
To add, I always check that there is not one already made up and there were only 3 people in today.

I feel I must add to this post, to write how pleasant today it has been to order in Couplands. Linda and Gareth were so cheerful and customer friendly, this makes all the difference to the atmosphere there.

Great food wish there were Cooplands around me. Would not recommend ordering too good to go bags from here. It's unlikely you'll get one, we had bought 2 and when we went to collect them were told they had cancelled them later that day very disappointing.

Went to day. First visit to Filey. Very rude shop assistant. Asked her what pasties they had then went to the door way to ask my husband who was out side with the dog. She was then very sarcastic behind my back My husband heard her and said I was just asking him what he wanted. If I had known this I certainly would not have brought anything. This assistant needs to be retrained in customer service. There was no need to be rude. It is only the fact I went into another shop were the staff were so friendly and helpful that I will return to Filey

Staff is amazing and so helpful! The meal deal is only 4£ and the sandwiches are great! Loads of variety to choose from and they serve you generously.

Abrupt staff member. I showed my blue light card before ordering . Asked for 4 sausage rolls and other items. Was told I couldn’t have the sausage rolls on this order. No explanation why. Another staff member jumped into the conversation and explained that it can not be used with the sausage roll deal. I said I understood this as I’ve just read the sign and also doing what the sign says and showing my card before ordering. I said I still wanted the sausage rolls, with or without blue light discount. A little embarrassing as it appeared she was refusing my card in a full shop on a Saturday morning. She needs a lesson in customer service

Went here on the 27/2/2023 at about 4.15 waiting in line to be served. nice lady that was serving someone els asked if I want owt quick as she was already doing some1s order I said to her I do not mind waiting at all as she was busy soon as it hit half four lady from the back came out told me there closed and wouldn't serve me she was very rude about it told her iv been waiting ages to be served she just rolled her eye the other lady that was serving told her iv been here a while and needed to be served after her rudeness she decided to serve me she was just rude with it all and its shocking how she can treat people like that

Overall a good bakery , staff are lovely , but they seem stressed because of the issue of bieng understaffed , also the qeues are quite long
