I recently visited the shop with my husband and had an unpleasant experience. The shop assistant's behaviour was unprofessional and rude. She abruptly opened the changing room curtain, with us in, which was both invasive and embarrassing. Her subsequent complaints about the placement of our helmets were unnecessary and lacked tact. There is always a more polite way to address customer concerns. I would advise others to consider their options before visiting this establishment.

Put in a request to donate an armchair, uploaded a photo on their website with description. Received a call a couple days later (today), when I answered the phone, the person was talking to someone else next to them. They were requesting collection for today, explained that the guys collecting the armchair would assess suitability for the shop, when I already uploaded a clear picture, so I don't really understand this.
The person over the phone was asking what colour the armchair is and if it's a bright orange, and was almost relieved to hear it wasn't a bright orange as though it was for their personal collection.
They informed me that collection would be between 14:00 and 16:00 and I agreed as I was working from home and I had a meeting in the afternoon that would coincide with the time that the slot finished.
They didn't arrive by the time it was 16:00 so I called at 16:15 and was advised that they were coming. They arrived at 16:45, my partner helped take the armchair out of the house for them to look at the armchair and say it's no good and that it would sit in the charity shop and nobody would buy it (when in fact we purchased the very same one in a charity shop....) Frustrated is an understatement. I would not waste your time with this place.

Called to ask if they were accepting donations for THE NEXT DAY and women on phone totally ignored what I was saying and said no we are not taking anymore today - I said tomorrow twice in the conversation, just immediate reaction without thinking or listening on her part. I understand that charity shops are getting flooded which is why I called but have a bit of courtesy. In a few months time when all this over reaction is over shops will be begging for donations again - why should you then get them if you can’t use basic manners now ?
