Well well, I'm giving a National chain a lofty 4 stars , and it's deserved. Needed somewhere for lunch, close to A1, and there are not a lot of options in these parts. Didnt start well either walking to this massive bar/ restaurant without seeing anyone. Bumped into what turned out to be our server who was charming, helpful and all the things Whitbread would like in their team tbf. Looking at the menu the few vegan options was a tad of a let down ( a burger, a salad or a thai curry). The latter is the only option included on their 12 -6pm midweek deal. No starters sadly, not this branch fault but a Brewers Fayre policy, just to say BF HQ Team - yes vegans would love a starter - please
That said the value for money is excellent, 2 mains for just under £12, and the Thai curry, while never anything to threaten your experience in Bangkok was hot and reasonable. There was a humble vegan dessert which top was fine and under £3.
So from a vfm point if view this place is a perfectly reasonable clean and tidy stop. Don't expect anything overly uber but I can see the appeal and say it quietly- I would return!

Very dated looking pub. Friendly staff. Very slow in service 😴
Needs a transformation in decorating. You see the food pictures for yourself. My wife had to ask for a steak knife. We ask for the bill three times . And in the end, we were overcharged. Food was not on a standard level. Tasteless food is not cooked. Many people left half plates, which says a lot. Sorry, but being honest here.

This place will surprise you with how good the quality of food is and the level of service. Shout out to Sally who served us, she was amazing, you really get the feeling that she loves working there and enjoys serving people.

We have been to quite a few of these and this was the best experience so far. All you can eat breakfast with a massive selection including veggie. Ample parking toilet and suitable for kids.

I was staying at the Premier Inn beside so I was at Brewers Fayre for breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was okay, I didn't feel that comfortable as many of the surfaces needed to be cleaned, with spilled coffee and sugar etc. I returned again for dinner the next evening. Initially the service was great until I finished my meal and there was nobody to be found. Nobody asked me if I'd like a dessert or if I wanted the bill etc. I had to search for someone so I could pay. To be fair, my meal was far better than I expected. The steak was tender and cooked exactly how I requested. The onion rings were light and crispy and salad was fresh. Really enjoyed the meal but service was a disappointment. I think they were busy preparing for breakfast the next morning.
