Really disappointed with this shop. Shelves are always half full. And the cashiers in the store are rude with no please or thank you. Feels like we are an inconvenience to the store team.
This has got worse in the last year and alot of the team before who were really friendly not there.
As a retail store manager I understand how hard it is to recruit. This used to be a very friendly and helpful store not no more.
I will not be shopping here any more and the only reason others do is that it is local.

Tilgate coop is not suitable for delivery/riders. Shortage of staff causes delays and delivery issues rises. Uber eats or just eat customer report for delays. Date: 26/06/2024 the morning shifts staffs are very rude and lazy specially the lady.

Yesterday I made another review about a worker being racist to me and my friends. They deleted the review I made (The workers). So this woman with graying brown hair and paleish was a worker there.
So me and 6 of my friends (we are all northern srilankan, black hair, brown skin all people between the ages 11-15) went to the shop to buy some snacks. After 3 minutes, this woman came up to us and said that we were here for a long time and being very loud and she said for us to get out soon. But there were other people who were louder than us and been their longer and she didn’t say anything to them. Then after 5 minutes we asked her for the price of the chocolate bar asking if it was £1 or £1.25, and she said it was £2 showing another chocolate bar. Then after 10 minutes, she stared saying mild racist things when we wre getting some coke and then when we were going to pay, she said curry munchers, get out after paying me. Me and my friends were very offended by this and then we got kicked out after paying. I’m writing this cuz of bad customer care and bad workers

A nice bright clean store with friendly polite staff. You can always find the odd thing that you need. Unfortunately prices are on the slightly higher side, so I wouldn’t do my weekly shop here, but I will happily go buy the odd pint of milk and get some bread.
