The self service, checkout monitor was SHOCKING!

We ALL know, these things are temperamental, at best.

Standing, holding carrier bags and staring straight between both rows of checkouts, into space, while the red assistance lights flashed.

Then, after waving him over and him
returning to the same spot, again staring blankly straight between the checkouts.

Whilst at least 3 other assistance lights, continued flashing, before he was signalled.

I understand it's a tedious job, but doesn't time pass faster, when you're engaged in something.

ASDA, take them away and put people back there.

Decent stock, big carpark, most of the staff are friendly enough with the exception of an individual at the self checkout - I couldn't even ask my question before they started lecturing me like a child. I was being friendly and the terrible customer service was uncalled for.

We were at the self scan checkout which was rather busy, Irine seemed to be manning them alone while two other staff just stood in a nearly empty basket checkout where no one needed assisting. Irine got to us as quickly as possible, was very apologetic and polite and even made a little small talk while she was approving our items. A much better experience than usual when you just get a filthy look. The five stars is for Irine and her excellent service. The other staff should learn from her.

Large carpark, store is ALWAYS well stocked (at least every time I've been here).
I've rarely had a bad experience in this store, in fact, I live closer to ASDA Lower Early but still prefer to shop at ASDA High Wycombe.
Lower Early ASDA always feels understocked or doesn't seem to have the same wide variety as ASDA High Wycombe.

I would like to make a complaint about a cashier (name Sarah) who served my wife and daughter today (12/10/24, time 14:30), Asda High Wycombe. The cashier was extremely rude shouting at my daughter because she put an item on the side of the conveyor belt as we had decided she didn’t want it. She then proceeded to make rude verbal remarks whilst our shopping was being packed. This left my wife and daughter very distressed, upset and embarrassed as she did this in front of a cue of customers. I strongly suggest that this lady is investigated and given extra training as in my opinion she lacks the verbal communication skills to deal with customers.
