They close off the main entrance in the car park to get up to the store and there's no signage to indicate where to go They could at least put a sign with arrows or something to direct customers instead of just leaving a small gate open which isn't very obvious, especially to anyone who has never been to this Asda before. Absolutely ridiculous.

I registered my car with security guard on 15th December as car park signs advised to do this if wanting to park over two hours. I was told ok to park over 2 hours but but have been fined. I tried to appeal but was given no documentation to use as evidence.

Very poor service. I went into the store for shopping and also to claim the Paypoint Cashout Voucher: went straight to front counter and asked the cashier but she doesn’t have a clue and called someone and another staff came and said they do not give Cashout vouchers. But ASDA Hemel Hempstead definitely have PAYPOINT in their store. I was asking for manager but they said manager is not in the store and only given the name as ‘Phil Hamilton’.

I am very disappointed and dissatisfied the way they handle me and if the staffs don’t know to claim and Cashout vouchers to customers then what is the point they work in the store.

Very incompetent staff or they purposely refused to claim the Cashout voucher I produced.

I will never come to this store and never recommend to no one.

I will report this to Paypoint and Headoffice too.

Went to Asda hemel Wednesday 12.30ish picked up 1 item I required
Went to basket express to pay. there was a que of 8 to 9 people waiting to use
Look at the trolley end express nobody on self tills or queuing myself and another lady both went to use this lane.To our dismay a Asda worker informed us we cannot use without a trolley ,we expressed we both had q item and the other end had a que of 10 plus people and this end is empty .No she said I will call people through and up from basket que .To which we both said well clearly your not and we both left our item s and left the shop .Very unhappy .well done ASDA

Asda Hemel Hempstead - first and last visit. Upon arrival there were no big trolleys, so we had no choice but to use a small one. The location of items in store are so located in random places no organisation very hap hazard, it takes longer to shop as you find yourself walking round and round in circles! We got to the check outs to find there were no trolley check outs open. When I asked why at the basked / small items check outs I was told very rudely "no staff". My daughter and I were forced to painstakingly scan our items individually via the self scan till, pack them encounter a bagging error almost every time of which we had to wait a long time for staff to notice (my daughter had to walk to the cashiers who were having a chat instead of serving customers to ask for assistance on several occassions) . Chatting about how they couldn't wait to go home!
About half way through scanning our large shop items (where we had completely run out of bag /shopping space), we noticed a trolley checkout was opening up for a customer who had less than a quarter of shopping we had when we initially joined the self check out queue!! Shocking on many levels staff unhelpful and disrespect towards customers. It used to be "the customer was always right", this was definitely not the case in this store. Why when I asked for a trolley checkout to be opened was it not? This would have allowed customers with less goods to use the self checkout we were using due to our ful shopping trolley and allow the queue to be shorter / less waiting time for other cusromers! We have been to several Asda stores and have NEVER experienced a lack of customer service / respect like this. Utterly shocking! A 1 hour shopping trip turned out to be 1 hour and 30 minutes - 30 minutes spent scanning items, waiting for "bagging alerts" to be rectified and packing our items. Absolutely shocking!

It's quite small compared to the mega out of town supermarkets these days but it is in the centre of town. They are quite lazy compared to the new guys on the block like Aldi who have 2 stores in town. Asda would rather sell overpriced branded goods than own brand that competes with Aldi. They also have the habit of de listing products and charging a lot more for something else. The staff are friendly and get to know you unlike the larger stores. *Aug 17 update* Sadly in August 17 they pretty much stopped selling fruit and veg loose. About a 90% now comes in unnecessary plastic boxes or bags AND they don't display the cost per kilo in a lot of cases. As there are no working scales, it's impossible to work out the cost per kilo unless you do the maths. So please Asda, bring back loose fruit and veg. Give your customers the value they demand and don't over package stuff.

I have nothing to say i just want to say my favourite place in hemel i wish I could spend every single second in my life there there is someone who they make asda more nice to me i just want to say i felt in love with one of asda worker 2 years ago and still i feel so good when i come to asda i was there today the best place and nicest place for me the place i can feel good here
