I went in to get a refund on a 3-pack of Magnums Ice Creams. They had obviously been left out to thaw and defrosted at some point and were grim and not really edible. Normally I wouldn't kick up too much of a fuss, but the previous weeks Ice creams were exactly the same, so I went back the next day to get a refund.

I politely explained this to the manager and he looked at me like I'd insulted his family. He tried to argue his way out of it like I had done something wrong and complained that I had opened one of the Ice creams - How else would I have discovered they had gone bad!

Eventually he agreed to refund me and asked the woman on the counter to give me my money back. She then continued questioning me like I'd done something wrong and started suggesting to the manager maybe I'd left them out. At this point, I lost my patience and said "No, I opened the Ice cream within 5 minutes of leaving the shop, the issue was caused by either you guys or your supplier". There was a crowd of customers waiting to be served by this point, listening to this nonsense exchange.

Finally I got my £3.50 back and left the store, feeling like I had robbed them and acted like the most unreasonable man in Carshalton.

The ridiculous thing is, I go in there all the time, a couple of times a week for the last few years. Just unbelievably bad customer service. These things happen, just say sorry and refund me, it's not a problem.

Trying to blame the customer and refusing to accept even the slightest responsibility is just really silly and annoying.

Staff are so lazy. Quite often get over charged. Won’t bag your shopping just chuck the bag towards you. Fail to wear name badges.

1st and last time I order from the co-op order never arrived despite sending me confirmation e-mail i'v telephoned the shop numerous time but nobody is answering.

Horrible I ordered doritos and they never said out of stock. This shop should get shut down for the bad communication. Atleast it should say out of stock or not let you but them. Horrible shop.

A reasonably stocked shop open until late. Disappointed, however, that there is no sanitiser at the door and no one way route around the shop save as you enter. Quite often staff are restocking shelves so distancing is often not possible. It wouldn't take much to make this a safer place to shop.

Most of the staff in this shop wouldn’t smile if there life depended on it. absolutely the worst really could do with hiring some newer friendly staff, actually hate going in there only go if I really have no other choice based on the staff and high prices to.

Got my order wrong, only sent half of what I ordered. Charged me full price and took money from my bank but altered the receipt. Tried calling over 40 times now and got no reply.
Do not use this shop or service.
