The BEST cafe in ilkley… Infact best cafe EVER!!!
From the beautiful seasonal decor to the simply incredible food! A personal favourite is the pulled pork sandwich along with a chocolate milkshake 😍 Can never fault this cafe and its alwayse the first place I think of when I fancy a brunch out, absolutly love it here! Love Lily xxxxx

Beautiful interior and atmosphere. Limited menu but tasted great, although I would ask for the hash brown on the side of the sandwich next time.
Unfortunately the coffee was a little burnt.

We visit Thirty Nine regularly and can't remember a single time where we haven't felt welcome.

Brilliant front of house and kitchen staff no matter how busy it gets.

I've seen a few reviews stating that they don't feel welcome with children, we have visited on a number of occassions since my wife gave birth to our baby boy and have always been welcomed in.

It is completely understandable that in a cafe where there simply isn't room for prams to be brought in you are asked to leave it outside. With areas where you can lock your pram to keep it safe as well as the large windows looking out from the inside to keep an eye on the pram as well we really don't see an issue with this and it seems as though people are complaining for the sake of complaining.

Great food, great staff and a reasonable price in our opinion - 10/10

First time at this establishment. Lovely bright seating area. Very accommodating to my wife's gluten-free breakfast. It was a very nice place to have breakfast, and we will be going back very soon 👍👍

Perfect! A 2 minute walk away from the train station, the food and atmosphere was amazing. The extra sauces and treats added to the pancakes were one of a kind. The menu was really unique and I even purchased some of their honey as I gift to my mum. Both me and my friend really enjoyed it!

Poor service, unprofessional, reading how the business respond to poor reviews is vile and frankly embarrassing. Not what you would expect in Ilkley.
It’s frustrating (and so cringe) when businesses respond poorly to reviews, especially when customers share genuine concerns. A response like that can make the situation worse, and it’s disappointing when staff don’t offer the courtesy or respect expected. We were met at the door by an incredibly rude and obnoxious waitress, she didn’t greet us, she instantly opened the door and told us we could not come in with a pushchair. As most are aware, parents spend a substantial amount of time and money in coffee shops, particularly those on maternity leave (like myself) and it would have been much more professional if the business had responded with empathy and a willingness to make improvements. Ideally, a more thoughtful response would show acknowledgment of the issue, a sincere apology, and a promise to reconsider policies to be more inclusive. That way, both the reviewer and other potential customers feel heard and valued.
I have in fact eaten here before, the food was very good, but obviously I am no longer welcome with a baby. I wonder if they would discriminate against those in wheelchairs, for example?
Having read a few reviews, it looks like we’re all talking about the same waitress, shame on you as a business to continue to employ such an unprofessional person. I’d be embarrassed and mortified if I was you!
