I was treated today for a high tea for my birthday.
There was three of us and the whole experience was wonderful. The staff were all polite smiley and very attentive. A lovely selection of sandwiches, scones clotted cream and little fancies we all on offer. The tea we order with it was of a great quality served in silver plated pots with extra hot water a lovely touch.
Thank you again to all you lovely girls who even sang Happy Birthday to be me.

Visited the cafe for lunch while on a day trip. Felt very rushed and uncomfortable. They obviously needed tables and took my plate as soon as I'd put my fork down. Menu board was inaccurate and I heard a poor lady questioning the flavour of her soup as it was different to what was advertised as soup of the day. I'd been told there was a change. She obviously hadn't and nobody had bothered to update the board. I didn't stay to look around the store as the overwhelming smell of perfume was irritating my airways so I left quite promptly (once I'd worked out how to get out as one exit was closed off).

The store is amazing would give 5 stars, had a visit to the cafe for the first time, had the home made soup leek and potato soup, but unfortunately very watery and tasteless, friend said the same with her soup. It was so bad I left it, advised staff who were lovely and friendly, compensated with a latte, but I came for lunch so very disappointed...

We are so lucky in this town to have such an up market, dependable and excellently supplied department store. A wonderful selection of everything imaginable in several different buildings. Staff are lovely and polite and some smell just superb. The cafe is a popular location, being well laid out, efficient and clean. Good seating and no feeling of being rushed. Wholly recommend a visit.

Popped into Austin’s for a nice reviving cup of tea and a quick sandwich to share.
Lovely Lisa brought us separate plates and even went back to get cutlery that I had forgotten to pick up.
It was a real pleasure to interact with someone who doesn’t just grunt at you and make no eye contact.

Lovely coffee shop with great choice of food.However,to charge an extra 25p for decaf is ridiculous.Ten years ago this use to happen because decaf coffee was more expensive to buy.Now there is no difference.

I took my fiance to Austins today to get some perfume. She didn't really know what she wanted, but it was a treat so we took our time looking around. The staff member we talked to was excellent and knew the products very well. My partner decided to go with Dior's J'adore, which we're both very happy with. I highly recommend this shop if you're looking for perfume or aftershave; they stock a huge selection and have very knowledgeable staff 🙂
