Rude. Out of date food. Over charges. Different amount on till than card machine.
Metro Bank card was cloned there which Bank sorted. So only used cash or a Fraud protection card.
When talking to other customers in shop they said the same , one little old lady told me she will only use cash as they have robbed her but because of health she has to go there for her papers, I was asked not to go back when I pulled them on it again.

Love the staff there, incredible variety of stuff, reasonably priced.
You'll definitely be able to find what you need there.
Slush machine and coffee machine inside so if its too hot or cold outside, then you can get what you want.

Accused of using counterfeit money by a female cashier. Went to their ATM and asked them to verify the authenticity of the cash this time, and asked if they had a UV light to check the notes. They then refused to serve me because I was apparently being argumentative. Effectively committed theft, and then threatened to call the police on me, and when that didn't work they just wanted me out after nicking my cash.

Avoid at all costs, the shop parallel is great and has a good selection. Sirajco just down the road is also very good, and far more hygienic than this place.

AVOID AVOID!!!!! I am ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED!! As I return to the shop to return a 4 MONTH Out of date food product that my pregnant girlfriend had just eaten, I was turned away and told nothing could be done, I then pulled out my phone to take a picture to put a review on here and the worker behind the till got very aggressive with me and told me he was going to slap me if I was to put anything on here!! This is an absolute joke so AVOID! There’s shop across the road from here so go there instead much better service there!!

So rude in here, not sure why I continue to go back 4 months out of date sweets were sold to me and when my partner went back to complain he got rude and tried to physically fight my partner. Please stay away from this shop.

This newsagent charges 2% on any cards used for goods, I bought milk and paper from them and stated that was £2.65 and the young man never said anything, when I finally got my receipt it was for £2.95. Daylight robbery when I used a debit card and not a credit card.

Very crampt in there more interested in stocking then serving and I hate it when they serve you and they are on the phone!! It's so rude I'm spending money and you just ignore me carry on with your conversation mate if it wasn't that I needed what I was buying I wouldn't have bothered

Absolutely awful rude staff! Waiting outside for my friend after they brought 4 months out of date sweets from this shop and could see inside the staff shouting at my friend and being very threatening! Avoid at all cost. Would rate 0 if that was an option!!!
