You can't go wrong for your frozen goods, especially xmas and party food, loads of choice, they also do a decent range of non frozen items, fresh fruit and veg, dairy, sweet, biscuits, tinned goods, bread, cakes, soft drinks and a range of household goods. Prices are the best for frozen goods and competitive on the rest of the range, can't complain about the location or the products but what let's it down for me is the checkouts, always a long queue and very rarely another till opened, when there is a problem or a query the queue builds up and nobody thinks to open another till, this is were it loses stars for me.

I was in Iceland today, got to the till and she accused us of stealing bread that we got from Morrisons, which was in a carrier bag. She is lucky I didn’t ask for her manager, like you aren’t the only shop in consett to sell warburton bread pet, was wearing glasses and chubby if that helps. Not happy at all.

I find Iceland Store ideal for party food, especially when bot completely sure what to buy. We don't have a very big freezer now so have to keep a check on the size of food stuffs.
Anyhow....l made the right choices.
I walked around the whole store first, then started again filling the trolley as l went.
The staff are brill when you can't find the one item you know you do want.
I will be shopping in Iceland again this week to replenish the foods for the next round of family visiting!

Could do with more staff on the checkouts or bring the self service checkouts back. Today only one serving while other staff members were filling shelves that did NOT need filling, poor cashier was getting flustered on her own because of this, other staff members could see what was happening yet chose to carry on filling shelves, the Iceland in Blaydon is not like this so why here, not exactly the first time I have experienced this either here in this store. Shelves are well packed an stocked but a shame about the slow service due to staff not being where there needed and supposed to be.

Use for home delivery. Have never had a problem. Love the service. keep to the time of delivery and a very nice delivery person, so polite.
