Love my local store, a few minutes from my Record Shop. Really helpful staff and quick service. No photo of the shop so added an anonymous cat portrait!

Absolutely outstanding customer service in this store. I would rather pay 20p-30p more for items in this store than receive the shocking customer service which is generally received from the big chains.

On entering the store at 7.30am:-

1.) The store manager was in prime position, greeting customers and assisting his staff with general tasks around the store. So often these days you see BM's sat in an office on their backside. It was nice to see a manager on the same level as his staff team.
2.) All colleagues were in the aisles, loading the shelves and working hard. They looked full of energy, even though it was 0730am. As I was walking around the store, they all greeted me.
3.) The BM came and spoke to me, which was just so nice and was a great touch.
4.) All of the shelves were fully stocked and tidy, the business looked like it was ready to trade and they enjoyed serving the community.
5.)The checkout staff were very friendly.

The store itself is clean and tidy but super expensive. The quality of the coop brand doesn't live up to the price it charges. They appear to charge depending on area too as I have been to another coop and items have been less than this one! Staff always friendly which is why 4 stars but would be 2 or 3 otherwise.

Staff were pleasant in answering my enquiry about the availability to customers of in-store Wi-Fi; “Sorry we don’t have in-store customer Wi-Fi. The Internet isn’t very good here & we’re behind the times”. The limitations to the functionality of the store’s digital tech was apparent again when the cashier was scanning my purchases. After scanning the final item on the conveyor belt the pleasant cashier discovered that the point-of-sale device was malfunctioning and that no price data had been recorded during the scanning of the items from my trolley. We had to move to another check-out position and re-do the scanning.
