Liked: The site was easy to find and the plots clearly marked. The instructions waiting for us and a friendly greeting too in the club house.
I asked to be allocated a space near the toilets and showers which we were.
We had plenty of space too on level ground.
The cosy little bathrooms with a toilet and shower in each were amazing.
The site clean and tidy.
The view over the lake beautiful and all for £20 a night.
I would certainly recommend the site to anyone.

Liked: 5 Stars - A Wonderful, Peaceful Getaway!

We recently stayed at Hallcroft Fishery and Holiday Park, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience for our family! The resort is the perfect peaceful getaway – ideal for anyone looking to relax and recharge in a serene setting. The park is incredibly family-friendly, with great facilities that cater to both adults and kids alike.

The bar on-site was a fantastic addition. It was lovely to unwind with a drink in the evenings. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable; everyone was friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived.

Overall, Hallcroft Fishery and Holiday Park is a gem! If you're looking for a comfortable, family-oriented holiday spot with all the right amenities, I would highly recommend this place. We can't wait to visit again.

Liked: Friendly campers, nice lake, helpful staff in the cafe.

Disliked: No one to check us in when we arrived. We tried to ring ahead but there was no answer. Staff from the cafe had to give us advice. When we found our pitch, someone was already in it and there were no spare and no one at reception to tell and no phone number for out of hours to ring. Luckily a lovely family let us double up on their pitch with them. Not very well organised when it comes to pitch allocation. We paid for fully service hard standing, we needed up half on gravel and half on the grass! Lucky we were just stopping one night. Was a lovely place but if you book something you expect to get it especially after a long drive.
Given low stars on review as we didn’t get what we paid for. Would have been 4/5 stars for everything if we had been given the pitch we booked and paid for

Liked: Good place for fishing, nice town close by, good cycling paths along the river and canal. Toilets and showers were clean only a few on site, but we were there at a quiet time of year. Staff were helpful. Would go back again.

Disliked: No Wi-Fi and difficult to tell what time the bar was open

Liked: The lakes were beautiful and made a great walk with the dogs. The kingfisher bar and grill was great, friendly atmosphere and reasonable prices. Overall a great stay and very relaxing.

Disliked: The pitches are quite close together, our neighbours were quite loud until late which you can’t block out in a tent.

There is a lot of geese poo which cannot be helped, but wasn’t overly pleasant to pitch on.

Liked: Pitches weren't too close together and the toilets and showers were kept clean also the toilet block was heated 24/7, we didn't use the cafe/bar so can't comment and the River Idle Nature Reserve is very close and well worth a visit, I would stay here again.

Disliked: When the bar closed at night other campers were very rowdy and some areas were badly lit.

Liked: We stayed for 2 nights and had such a laugh. There was 6 of us, everyone on the site was lovely including staff and visitors. There was lots for us to do on the site. We really enjoyed the breakfast in the cafe and thoroughly enjoyed the karaoke in the bar at night ! It was a laugh from start to finish. The showers and the toilets were in such close distance and we had no issues at all. We will definitely be coming back and recommending the place to all our friends and family

Disliked: There was absolutely nothing we disliked. We did order a take away at night and had to walk all way down to the end as the gates shut at 8.15 but the walk down and meeting other people was great.
