As a Radar Key holder it is unacceptable that toilet is not available unless unlocked by a member of staff. Ticket office not always manned.

Why have a disabled toilet which is not always available?

Good access to station due to being step free.

We need more toilets. Havering has a large elderly population and toilets are not a luxury but an essential.

Handy for me. To get to my friends & my vet and dentist.

Toilet facilities were disgusting. Had no choice but to use them. Disabled toilet locked. Ladies toilet not seen cleaner for a while I'd say. Filthy.

I asked the man at the counter to link my 16-25 railcard and oyster. He didn’t ask me what type of railcard I had and when he went to link my cards, he typed the incorrect card number - which I made him aware of. He responded by informing me that my cards were invalid (which wasn’t the case). He hastily went back into the staff area before I could stop him - I had to get this done at another station due to staff incompetence.

Yes the station is, on the whole, very clean and tidy. However the toilet opening times does not serve the paying public, the elderly or people with ailments that make them need to pee more, or the sensible people who go out for s s drink and use public transport. Unlike most stations they actually have a toilet but it is only open up to about 15:00. I have seen people relieve themselves on platforms and occasionally actually on a train and although it disgusts me, I understand and leave it at that. People pay a lot of money to travel, often without a seat and yet services are cut back, no toilet facilities, no staff on platforms, no staff in ticket offices, no staff at all on a station after certain hours etc.

Elm Park is no exception, the ticket office is often not manned and people just jump the barriers, push through or walk through behind another person. So I have paid my extortionate price for my journey while others just go free because of staff cutbacks and lack of staffing for more profit. Even when there is a member of staff in the office he/she just let's people jump the barriers and do what they want.

When I actually needed help on one occasion I went to knock on the kiosk window and a guy was playing on his mobile in the corner and took about 5 minutes to respond to me, and you want us to have sympathy when you come out on strike, I don't think so. Other times there is no one available to help when the machine is not working or I get my money stolen from me by the machine. I am now out of pocket and have to call someone on the phone which is diabolical as I need to travel.

So it is a clean station but that's the terminus of your travel experience. "Mind The Cutbacks" should be said over the tannoy to alert passengers to the lack of services available. "Please go to the toilet before you leave your house and don't consume anything for a few hours in case you need to use a toilet that is not available" should be another message mentioned on the platforms.

And of you see something that's not right, like no toilets, or no staff, or someone jumping the barrier, or someone peeing on the platform then Say it, Report it, (See it, Say it Report it) and they will ignorr you and cutback more essential services. SORTED.

A really good, clean old station! It is very convenient for me and is on a train line (district line) which takes you straight into central London.
