I don’t shop at Amazon because they have a track record of atrocious workers rights and they’re one of the major players in the destruction of the planet. I’m making it my aim to review all of the 45 chains of supermarkets and convenience stores in the uk though, so when we came out of the roundhouse last night, we were in high spirits and thought we’d pop in, just for the sake of it.

This shop is simultaneously dystopian and run of the mill. Staff were sparse but very attentive; I only had to look at the beer and wine area button before a member of staff rushed over to let me in.

We didn’t get the full Amazon Fresh experience because we didn’t buy anything (for the reasons outlined above).

I will not be returning to this store, but more on moral and geographical reasons than because of the state of this individual branch.

Nice shop. Strange feeling there are no tills or self checkout. Just pick up what you need and tap your card on the card reader on the way out. AI system knows everything you have picked up. You get you shopping receipt by email.

I have been an Amazon customer for a long time. Today, June 29, I came to visit this Amazon Fresh store and I was terrified to see the way they charge or steal. I bought two boxes of fruit for a total of £4 and my card was charged more than USD25 or £20. The employee said that this always happened and that in two hours they would be correcting the error, 9 hours have passed and they did not correct anything. Alert because I read several affected clients. There is no invoice, there is nothing, who will return my money? I'm a tourist and I don't have time to go back to the store to complain, what a nightmare. Update: After several days I see that they charged the correct value to the card.

I rarely see Amazon Fresh. It was nice to see one just off the side of Camden Lock area in London.

I have to say, this is a well stocked store! Everything looks fresh. Their hot goods get taken pretty quickly as it was empty when I went into the store mid afternoon.

I’d forgotten how it works. A super nice attendant by the name of Ken was kind enough to refresh my memory as to how it works. Remember, if you don’t buy anything you have to get a code from the attendant to exit.

Pick what you want, drop it in your cart. Magically a scanner in house knows what’s in your basked. Pay with your phone or debit/credit card when you leave. Easy easy!

This supermarket stole from me!

I went in to buy two teas for £5, but I ended up with unauthorized charges of £19 and £1 on my debit card. When I noticed this, I immediately went back and spoke to the person in charge. He told me it was “normal” and that I would receive a refund within 2 hours.

Here I am, two weeks later, with no refund and no response to the complaint I filed with Amazon. It’s unbelievable that you can enter a store and be robbed like this. DO NOT SHOP HERE!

I visited the Chalk Farm Road Amazon store at 7:45 AM and was extremely disappointed with my experience. The aisles were cluttered with trolleys, making it difficult to navigate. To make matters worse, three members of staff were busy pushing and shoving their way around, without acknowledging customers at all. It felt like I was invisible. I had to struggle just to reach the shelves, and eventually, I gave up and left with only a limited amount of shopping. This is not the level of service I expect from Amazon.

Can you please hire people who actually want to work rather than making their customers feel like they're burdening them. So much attitude from the indian girl. I hate going there.

It was my first time at Amazon fresh. And thanks to aditya to show me how to pay coz I did not know that too. Great customer service definitely gonna come back!!!
