Lovely friendly staff plenty of parking, great grounds . The rooms were a bit dated, so I had to change rooms because the toilet didn't work. Reported it to the receptionist who was quick to give us another room next door but that one the TV wasn't connected. We rang reception and they sent staff up straight away.
The hotel could be a beautiful place but needs a lot of time and money spent on it.

A truly wonderful experience for a family occasion at Warbrook House Hotel, celebrating our youngest son’s 21st Birthday. Every single member of staff made our whole group so very welcome, all were so accommodating, demonstrating nothing was a problem. I would highly recommend the Indian cuisine, it was some of the very best traditional Indian food I have ever tasted and it was prepared by an attentive and extremely professional chef (Chef Vijay). The self service buffet breakfast catered for everyone, nothing was too much trouble. During the evening the entire hospitality team, led by their evening manager were totally outstanding, we cannot thank him enough. The waiters and bar staff were so polite and welcoming …. Thank you Warbrook House Hotel for a truly memorable occasion. I would personally recommend hotel rooms 37, 36 & 22 and describe them as luxurious with such a romantic atmosphere and magnificent views of the canal and grounds. Thank you Katie and April for all your help, making sure our party was so well looked after. We will return and have recommended your hotel to several of our friends already.

We visited Warbrook for our group of friends Christmas party. We chose the venue as it looks a beautiful hotel and is local to us. The party rate was very good value. When booking the party for our group of 10 I corresponded with Katie, the hotel’s conference and events specialist. Katie was brilliant at communicating with me from start to finish about our party’s needs and menu choices. I felt confident that we were going to have a great night. ||When we arrived the venue looked stunning with a wonderful Christmas tree in the lounge /bar area. The food was excellent and piping hot and the staff were efficient, helpful and friendly. The DJ was excellent at providing the entertainment too with a great mix of music. Overall it was a brilliant evening and good value for money. It was nice having arrival drinks included and the “help yourself” tea and coffee station was perfect too. We couldn’t fault a thing! We will definitely all be back again soon. Thank you

Rooms are well presented, it's an old property so there are some quirks. Long walk to some rooms in the main building. Good choice of lounges to use but drawing room doesn't have a TV. Nice bar with plenty of choice. Restaurant specialises in Indian meals for dinner. Breakfast is buffet style with cooked and cold options. Friendly helpful staff. Nice walks around the grounds.

We have just returned from a two night stay at the Warbrook House hotel which we bought with a travelzoo voucher. We anticipated this short break with some trepidation, having read some recent, very negative reviews on Tripadviser. We stayed in the mansion, in a pleasant double room. There are some notices around apologising for appearances, as the building is being updated. |From the start, everything went well. Check-in was efficient and friendly. The view from our room was lovely, although not at its best because of wet weather. The following day, we visited Jane Austen's house at Chawton and The Vynes, a nearby National Trust property. On our return, my husband mentioned to the receptionist that we were celebrating my birthday. We were so surprised when, five minutes later, she appeared at our door with a plate of petits fours, decorated with a birthday greeting, and a birthday card from the staff at Warbrook House. What a charming and unexpected gesture!|That evening, we ate at the hotel's Indian restaurant and enjoyed excellent, attentive service, even though there was a large party taking place in a nearby function room. Best of all was the excellent lamb biryani which we both chose. Knowing that this dish requires a lengthy preparation, we enjoyed chatting to the chef, Vijay, and the restaurant manager, Harry, about it - and about cricket, a passion which they both share with my husband. The desserts were also absolutely delicious.|Finally, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and thank the Warbrook staff for their part in what was a memorable birthday. We hope to return later in the year, and in better weather! Thank you, Warbrook House staff.

Our recent corporate event, attended by 300+ members was a resounding success, thanks to the exceptional team at Warbrook House! Their attention to detail and commitment to fulfilling our requirements ensured that everything ran smoothly! The venue itself was not only visually stunning but also spacious enough to comfortably accommodate all attendees. The staff went above and beyond to make the event a success, and we are deeply grateful for their efforts! We look forward to returning in 2025 and once again working with an outstanding team at Warbrook House! |Thank you to Rachael, Sam and the team!

It's a real shame to see how the hotel owners have taken most of the character of the house with modern decorations and features. The furniture does not go with this house. We stayed in the best room of the house but soon asked to be moved room because they had put next door to us a horrible drunk/dumb couple that started fighting and swearing as soon as they got in their room. The rooms have these small original connecting doors that you can almost see through and hear everything on the other side. The receptionist offered us another room much smaller that stunk of smoke. They didn't offer us any part refund.
What is happening with these type of hotel owners is that they have sold the soul and character of old buildings like this for the sake of profit. They welcome absolutely everyone with last minute offers from online hotel sites and by the end of the day the car parks are full of trade vans and drunk people that have nowhere else to go. I have nothing against trade people, I just don't like bad manners and luck of respect.
This is an events hotel, they advertise it like that, weddings etc. The place is knackered. The owners don't reinvest any money in new floors, carpets or more classy decorations. It really needs an upgrade, it feels dirty and sticky.
The house is still an impressive mansion, we walked along the pond at night, it was 0c outside and the garden was misty. The reflection of the house on the pond with the garden lighting on from the far end of the pond was absolutely incredible, breathtaking. It really makes you feel sorry for the house and what they have done with it.
