Dan was exactly what I hoped for. Went to a different shop earlier today and was met with not very helpful staff but was happy to come across Dan later at Millet's as I needed help with hiking boots. He was incredibly knowledgeable and so helpful. Will definitely come back again!

I recently purchased a waterproof jacket from Millets in Farnborough.
The 2 very helpful people serving me listened carefully to find out what I was looking for and then showed me all the options so I could select the best jacket for me. I have worn the jacket several times and it has proved to be exactly what I needed.
The staff at Millets Farnborough are excellent andl thoroughly recommend this store.

Had a great experience in store today with Dan helping me choose some hiking boots. Really informative and eager to help. You really don't get service like that very often these days, so it's refreshing to see!

This shop is listed as a DPD drop off point.
However, yesterday they refused to take our two parcels because 'too big'. I objected that they had previously accepted boxes this size. The guy at the counter said that he might try and see if one fits. Basically he decided that the boxes were too big even before checking if they actually fit in their deposit room where they usually store the parcels (which is not so small, I've seen it multiple times before).
Nowhere on their website or DPD's website it says that this shop can't accept parcels bigger than a certain size.
If they don't want to accept parcels over a certain size then they should NOT be offering a DPD service!
The employee was just being lazy in my opinion... Bad customer service doesn't seem a novelty in this shop according to other reviews.

I tried to return a tent but the assistant would not let me.She said that it was too late because it was 28 days past the despatch date.Your refund policy states that it has to be within 28 days of the delivery date not the the despatch date but she said as I had no proof of delivery she could not do anything.Also she said that the tent was used as it had grass on the tent pegs,the reason why the pegs had grass on them was because I put the tent up in my garden to see what it looked like but she refused to believe this and made me feel like a liar.In the end she gave me an exchange but I feel disgusted by the way I was treated.

Today I was served by Alex, he was amazing.I had my 2 year old Greatgrandaughter with me and I was trying to buy her a sun hat, he was so patient with her it made finding a hat easy. He even took her to the mirror so she could see herself. Thank you Alex for a very positive shopping experience, even the little one said “he was a nice man”.

Disgusting customer service by man with short blonish hair - Farnborough millets.

Went in for a electric cool box and he told my partner he couldn’t afford it and didn’t have size we wanted. I then went in and got served by a guy with long brown hair- who was super helpful- and served me the cool box and size we wanted.

No idea what stereotype he had of us, but he was rude and judgmental.

I have been shopping here for years and using my DOfE leader discount without a problem but today the manager aggressively accused me of lying and cut up my discount card in front of me. She eventually backed down when I showed her my online discount card as well, but I am so shocked, her unpleasantness was totally unwarranted.
I have been coming here even though it is more expensive than buying online because I think it is important to support the highstreet but no wonder the highstreet is dying when customer service is like this.
Despite the managers (Tracy?) unpleasantness Ali was very polite and helpful, so thank you to him.
