Reasonable carpark which is a plus for this area. Good Size room. Small details count… it’s a room designed for 2 people so why supply only 1 breakfast tea teabag‍♂️. And only 1 chair ? staff are friendly and attentive. Although it felt like they could have done with a couple more people on duty. Bed feels comfortable, reasonably firm mattress. Only a few steps to the rooms from the ground floor. WiFi seems reliable.
The Sunday roast was enjoyable , the beef was cooked nicely and was tender.
Deserts were flavoursome , again small details spoons uncomfortably large for size of ramekin……
The Swan is situated conveniently to shops, a few restaurants and takeaways. The swan has a good size beer garden with plenty of tables. Breakfast service starts around8:00am which was a little late for me . An on the go offering would be nice as I needed to leave prior to the 8:00am service.

Good food great service the guys were very attentive and polite. Comfortable beds and clean facilities. 5stars across the board fellas, we took good memories with us back to Germany many thanks. And the food! It all arrived as if it had been prepared for a photo shooting, tasted as good as it looked.

I had the absolute pleasure of being served by Lottie during my visit to The Swan, and I must say, she was an absolute gem. From the moment Margot (my dog) and I arrived, Lottie’s warm and welcoming demeanour instantly made us feel right at home. Her attentiveness and genuine care for our experience were evident throughout our visit.

She went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect, accommodating our requests with a cheerful smile and impeccable professionalism. It’s rare to come across someone so naturally gifted in making people (and dogs!) feel valued and comfortable. Lottie is an absolute asset to the pub, and Margot and I will definitely be back. Thank you, Lottie, for making our visit so memorable.

Edit: I also have to mention how lovely the rooms are at The Swan. They’re cosy, beautifully decorated, and the perfect retreat after a long day. Such a wonderful stay all around!

Excellent meal & tip top service at the Swan. We were organising a surprise event & a meal for 20 people. The help before the day to get us menus and accommodate our choices was brilliant. Food was fantastic and good value for money. Service on the day made everything run smoothly and I cannot thank Ben and the rest of the staff enough.

Showed to a suite down the side of the biulding next to the Tesco petrol garage under the noisy greasy kitchen extractor fan after having a Sunday roast in the pubs eating area (the roast was nice actually so I rate the grub) but I had an allergic reaction to the accommodation after an hour so, so didn't stay the night and went and found another hotel. Did send an email requesting a refund but never heard back from staff.

Nice local pub, first time visiting, very nice friendly welcoming staff. Lots of seating available and most of all,a friendly warm atmosphere. Will happily pop back for a drink and maybe a bit to eat next time.

We came here for a Sunday lunch and even though we didn't book and it was very busy, the staff still managed to find us a table!

The chorizo scotch egg was so delicious. 100% getting that again. We then went for the Pie of the Day which was beef and gravy. It came with mash by default but they managed to change one of the mash sides for a side of sweet potato fries, which was delish!

Definitely coming back again!

The other evening my friend and I came in for a drink. We had a large of glass of sauvignon blanc and a bottle.of coke. The first time we were charged £12.50 for both. The next round we were charged £13.00 for exactly the same drinks. We then bought 2 portions of triple cooked chips and a glass of the same wine and the bill was £26.40. I queried this and was told the wine was £14.00 for the same size!!!!!!! The chips were burnt so sent them back to be told they didn't have any triple cooked chips left so was offered
