This supermarket should and could be so much better.
The staff seem to enjoy socialising with one another whilst getting in the way of shoppers during a lunchtime rush; stacking shelves unnecessarily and leaving all the tills unmanned so we can all enjoy our lunch hour queuing (I did suggest to a manager that they might want to open a till but I was regarded as if I was mad, worse still from the land of Tesco)
The stock makes me laugh too. You can buy at least 4 different types of olives but no capers. Flour? Oh yes Bread flour, GF, all different shapes and sizes, unless of course you want to buy cornflour in which case forget it.
There seems to be a lot of stock but just not the right kind in my opinion.
Meat quality? Average
Vegetable options? Average
Value for money? Well, let's just say they match the prices to their customers ie, middle class retirees.
The coffee is nice though.

I don't shop here very much as I consider this store to be expensive. But when needs must be, it's easy for parking and I find the staff are helpful and always very friendly.

The Woodbridge Coop is fantastic, it has 80% of what you would need for your weekly shop and the staff are amazing.

Being a smaller store, it is a tad more expensive than a larger Supermarket such as the Tesco Extra in Martlesham, however the Co-Op is much more convenient and the experience is more enjoyable/relaxing.

Often only one person on till in the kiosk, can take a while sometimes. Otherwise it's a good size co-op with most of what I need.

An actual supermarket that charges top-end corner-shop prices. Some of their own brand stuff is DOUBLE Martlesham store prices. How can this be justified It's Profiteering !! Please AVOID !!!

This branch always feels understaffed, with queues for the one checkout that has an employee.

They have self checkout but they always have big queues as well (plus I hate self-service checkouts) The staff seem resigned to the fact that they don't have to worry about the queues and don't call for help.

Woodbridge has an elderly population and I know many 'seniors' don't want to use self checkout.

The Co Op are the only supermarket in town and therefore have the monopoly.

To my mind they have become 'lazy' and I wish there was a rival to make them up their game.

When you shop the receipt gives you the chance to complete a survey, which I always do. My reviews are often scathing, but nobody contacts me, despite my request to do so. What's the point of these?

If any management from EOECO see this, feel free to contact me.
