The people at the open market are very friendly, but perhaps due to the weather, not all shops are open. The main businesses are mostly practical stores and second-hand shops.

Attended the auto jumble, it is a great little event,only a couple of quid to get in with lots of varied stalls.
Only downside was the cafe, had to tell the girl four times what we wanted, had to go up and remind her because I knew she had overlooked our order.
The tea she served was tepid at best and we had drunk up by the time the food had arrived.
Terrible service.

Huddersfield Open Market is ideal for economical shopping. You can find fresh fruits and vegetables at budget friendly prices as compare to other shops and superstores. There is a variety of home decore, clothing, house-hold, etc.

Most of them are good but few items were not up to the mark. Still this open market is a blessing for many. It opens in the morning and mostly they wrap it up by 2:00 to 2:30.
It has a restriction of traffic flow to provide ease to padestrian.

Lots of various stalls selling old, new and also collectable items. Lots of clothing, footwear, toys, jewellery, electronics. Wide range of fresh fruit and veg. Very clean and tidy. Parking available for up to £1 for an hour. Traders have seperate toilets to customers(disabled toilet onsite). Hot food and drinks available.To be a trader it costs £28 including £5 for a license, but there is a waiting list. Hours are approximately 7.30am to 3.30pm. Typically spend 45-60 mins.

Been coming here since a young child so it feels nostalgic.
Plenty of stalls with bargains & cheap goods.
Would recommend especially for the fruit & veg stalls.

I'd never been to Huddersfield Open Market before, but what a place. There's pretty much everything for sale here. Electronics, antiques, toys, vintage tools, work wear, pretty much everything, including a few odd bits that brought back a few memories. It's like a car boot sale, jumble sale & charity shop rolled into one. Loved it.
