Big food hall store with decent range of products, its own bakery, a wine shop and an expanded frozen section. Open as part of the M&S strategy of closing larger stores in town centres and focusing on smaller shops in retail parks with click and collect services. Decent addition to this retail park but doesn’t help Barnsley town centres development.

When this store opened I didn’t like it at all.
I only carried on shopping there because I like M&S food and all the other stores are miles away.
It’s grown on me and now I love it.
There’s always plenty of choice, everything is in stock and the staff are lovely & really helpful.
Free parking too, what’s not to like?

Called in a couple of times good size store well organised and very good stock levels, what you would expect for M&S. Lot of self-service checkouts, with fewer traditional tills. The down side the carpark for the retail park can be a nightmare for entry and exit at bussy times.

Twice in three weeks I gave handed out of date fresh orange juice to a staff member. Today’s was two days off, previous 4 days.
Check every date.
Trollies are seldom available in the store entrance bay.
Food usually decent M&S offer.

This is a fekn brilliant m&s. We have them back home (Ireland) but I live in the east of England now and my nearest m&s is not a patch on this. We were over for Underneath the Stars but I nearly couldn't drag myself out the m&s! Among the many things I loved is the recycling options, and lots of self service checkouts, I can't stand having to wait for a cashier. Top marks, marks 💖

Came in at 10:30 in the morning. There was a big queue and only one cashier on duty. I have autism and I don't like to use the self-checkouts as they stress me out considerably. I don't think this is really acceptable. There should be at least two members of staff on tills

Delighted to find this store when I visited Barnsley. All essentials and those little extra pieces that make M&S delightful

My first visit since it moved. There is nothing here I couldn't get in Aldi or Lidl, at fraction of the price. Limited lines ie choice of fish, salmon, Cod Sea Bass. Dumped down for little old Barnsley? I think so.
