Nice reasonably sized cafe. Nice autumn decor. Plenty of cushions along large bench seats (along the wall side) gave a choice of seating, and it was nice to see it very busy on a Monday afternoon. Most other places were closed. Lovely food was pleasantly served, though not much under £9.00

We had an excellent breakfast and although we were very close to the time when breakfast stopped being served,11.15, they were only too pleased to serve us. The food was excellent hot fresh and well cooked with a good selection of breakfast items. I don't like black pudding but this is an option if you don't want it. The coffee is good and an extra shot comes at no cost. The service was friendly and quick the atmosphere pleasant. The cakes were very tempting and looked delicious. If you are visiting Howden then I would certainly recommend the Badger and Bean at anytime of the day.

Had the absolute pleasure of visiting the badger and bean popped in just by chance situated in the market place next to Howden minster had lovely walk round the cafe is excellent lovely staff comfortable seating and superb food friendly staff welcoming atmosphere 😀 really enjoyed my visit and would love to visit again excellent had delicious Yorkshire scoundrel yummy

What an unexpected pleasure! A first visit to Howden in years and a number of welcoming looking coffee shops and eateries to choose from. The Badger looked busy from the outside which is always a good sign, and seeing a table being vacated we went in and were seated at that table. Orders taken at the table and service prompt and efficient. On this occasion just coffees and teacakes but seeing the menu for food our next visit will be for something more substantial. A lovely place hst I wholeheartedly recommend to visit.

Brilliant staff, very friendly and efficient.
Great food, all good is cooked fresh so it's not mass production timings but I'd much prefer freshly cooked food any day. Very good portions for the pricing. Their speciality hot chocolates are amazing as well.

Our pup loves being here and they sometimes give her a hand made dog biscuit!

My partner and I are here regularly.

Fantastic lunch at this great little eatery. Just called in on the off chance on our way to Saltmarshe Hall. Great atmosphere and lovely food. Owner and staff all very welcoming. Lovely view of the Minster from our table. Think we were lucky to get a table as it seemed very popular.

Very tasty coffee,great service and pleasant atmosphere.Bonus points for filling the vegeterian bagel to the brim,I really felt I got value for my money as thought and effort had gone into what I was having.
