AWFUL experience - paid up front in April and tank has not arrived OVER 6 MONTHS later - excuses and delays, then radio silence, and have ignored any request to refund. I feel totally scammed. Finally bought elsewhere after 6 months and now refuse to refund. Feel totally scammed - and this now must be resolved in court, I fear. Warehouse is refusing post and seems closed. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

If you can actually get the guy to complete the work in a timely manner then the tank isn’t bad. But it’s a real pain to try and communicate with this company let alone get your tank on time.

We ordered a 5ft x 2ft x 2ft Aquarium from AC Aquatics in September, which arrived in December (a bit longer than the original time frame promised but with Covid and them having supply chain issues They're Forgiven) That said we are pleased to say the aquarium is Fantastic, Very well made, and looks absolutely great, we opted for opti white glass (so much clearer) and the metal frame which was so easy to level the tank up in our old uneven floor, It dwarfs our TV and since being set up, has more views that the TV ever had,(and don't need a license) ... now that our fish have been moved from their old tank they are enjoying the extra space and are growing quickly. the sump is a perfect size for the tank and I have about 30kg of media in plus sponges UV Filters etc and the water is crystal clear and the water parameter's have never been better. If you're considering buying from AC Aquatics don't hesitate, they make quality Aquariums cabinets and hoods, and IMHO Excellent value for money. We will be using them again, although will probably get them to do a onsite build next time, as the 5ft tank took four of us to get into position,and I plan on a even Bigger tank next, (would like a 10ft long x 3ft deep x 2ft tall next, with 2 sumps either end.) I ordered a bespoke 2000x710x610 tank from at the end of February. It took around 15weeks to be delivered (which suited me fine). Arrived on a Saturday morning and took 4 of us to get into place. Left it a week and half to fill. Really happy with the quality and would use again in the future.

Thank you to AC Aquatics. Excellent product and made exactly to my own requirements to match in with current furniture which had been made by another manufacturer. Delivered and set up for me. I had previously visited the factory and it's a great set up. Highly recommended if you are after a new tank.

UPDATE - 16.02.2020 sorry for such a delay in updating, please see photos of our amazing tank full of native fish consisting of 3 Rudd, 1 roach, 1 silver bream, 1 glass carp, 2 crucian carp, unfortunately we don't think glass carp is long for the tank due to his size! Updated to five stars, thank you thank you thank you! Amy & Paul ------------------------------------------------------------------ Our 450ltr tank burst in July, we were able to save our fish by a pond mould we had in the garden and we set it up in the lounge!! after a desperate hunt for a replacement tank we decided on a custom made aquarium, we phoned a few but AC aquatics were the most helpful and told us the turn around would be 4-5weeks. great! we placed the order on the 1st of August that date past and we were told that the owner was on holiday for 2 weeks, week 9, he finally returned our emails, calls and asked what finish we wanted, this wouldn't have been a huge problem but we were getting pretty frustrated at this point 1st November, after 3 long months it arrived and is simply stunning (hence the 3 stars) however, the hood was broken in transit and was reported straight away with pictures. like most delivery companies the company were desperate to get going so we couldn't check the package before signing for it (signed unchecked) AC replied on the 6th November saying they were going to see when they could get another sheet in to replace it, no word since then. Please, please, please, if you read these reviews, get in touch with Paul Tyler so we can find a resolution and change the review to 5 stars!

Having waited months for AC Aquatics to manufacture and dispatch my aquarium I can only say that I have been left truly gutted by the tank that has finally arrived. Whilst this is by no means a big, nor expensive build, it was in fact my dream reef tank and something I had been planning for some time. It is hard to believe a company that boasts on their website of having " extremely competent staff each qualified in their own areas" and "a combined experience of over 30 years" can actually produce an item of such poor quality. Unfortunately, I have had to email them with a total of 11 issues, ranging from a failure to follow a set design but also finished to a standard of workmanship that is just not acceptable. I attempting to upload some pictures of just some of the issues, these do not include errors in construction that resulted in incorrect internal dimensions. (ill get some up but at the moment am having problems). In an attempt to resolve the matter I have advised that, given the sheer number of problems, my preferred option would be a full refund however, the standard line appear to be... we will collect it and correct !! It is clear that this tank needs to be completely dismantled and rebuilt from scratch incurring, not only new material and labour costs but also the cost of them arranging a courier to not only collect for return to them but also the redelivery back to me. Despite the fact that I believe their option to be the less economical route, they have still chosen this course of corrective action. I have made it clear to them that if they want to opt for their route, it will need to be resolved in full within 30 days. Time will tell if that happens. Unfortunately, this appears to be yet another example reaffirming what other reviewers have touched on. Once they have your money, it's going to be a struggle to get it back !!! What I cannot understand is, if they have the ability to produce this tank design to an acceptable level of workmanship then why wasn't this done in the first instance. If they can't then simply decline the job. Based in my experience it appears that they will take any order, give it the old college try in an attempt to knock it off in some way, shape of form, send it out and then hope for the best. Which I assume is you'll just like it and lump it or be bought off with some laughable nominal amount of compensation. If you're happy to conduct business with a company like that then feel free to order but, I can tell you that at the time of writing this review I am currently sat staring at this tank, waiting to hear from them further !!! Based on my experience to date, I can only recommend that you avoid this company.

I contacted AC Aquatics to get a custom tank made to specific measurements, as I wanted to put my gerbils in it with the wire topper they already had. Initially, the service I received was very encouraging, however once I made payment for the tank in full, everything went quiet on their end. I would send chase emails for an update on the progress of my tank and would be ignored or get a response that there is a 10 week lead time! Which is crazy for just a standard, braceless tank and eventually I received the tank 7 weeks after putting my order it and everything looked great when it was delivered. However, I then discovered that the tank had one side taller than all the rest and the measurements were 3mm out which then made the whole prospect of getting a custom tank made redundant, as the topper wouldn’t fit so then I had to make adjustments myself which cost me more time and money. I contacted AC Aquatics’s and advised them of the circumstances and then I had the response that all tanks have a “ +/- 2mm” and they wouldn’t even give me the £65 delivery charge back. As why would I order a custom tank if the measurements don’t matter and they aren’t going to be exact? Could have got a cheap second hand fish tank off FB Marketplace and saved myself a lot of time and money. Very disappointing with the service I’ve received and shall not being using AC Aquatics’s services again.
