Definitely avoid. I purchased a faulty camping mat from them and they refused a refund, claiming it was my fault. This is despite the fact that I only used the mat once and it was safely stored in an Exped dry bag (which shows zero signs of damage) the whole time before I used it on a single camping trip.

If you buy from them, check for manufacturing defects or damage caused in storage before leaving the store, because based on my experience they won't resolve any issues you find.

From the moment i walked into the shop i was fully looked after by Alex and the team. looking to by through C2W, they made a pot of coffee and talked me through all the options and allowed me to sit on a few bikes (especially as i had no experience of bomber handlebars before) and showed me various components - this allowed me to build a bike to budget as well as adding on some valuable panniers and bags. Once i had my voucher i was able to get the bike delivered to the shop and the team handled the building and setting up allowing me to just turn up and ride straight off - thanks all to Alpkit Ilkley - if only all bike shops had this level of customer service

Best outdoor shop in Ilkley (and nearby!). The quality of clothes and equipment rivals the top brands and is often cheaper in price. Loads of choice and friendly/knowledgable staff on hand when you need them. Couple that with a techie clothing repair service AND dog treats and you have a great shop to visit.

Great shop - niche range of outdoor stuff. All looks pretty good and priced well. Walking, climbing and cycling gear as well as bikes. Lots of own brand clothing.

Updated June 2024 - well worth a look. Great range of lightweight camping gear. Knowledgeable staff and on-site repairs at very reasonable rates.

I ordered a pair of zip off trousers and I was sent non zipped trousers in a different colour. I also paid postage.

I returned the trousers and asked for the correct trousers to be sent to me, but instead I was refunded the amount (less the postage).

I am very annoyed by this service. Why didn't you send me the correct trousers as requested? And if you weren't going to send me the correct trousers, then the postage should have also been returned to me as the wrong trousers were sent initially.

I won't be ordering anything from you again online.

Great kit, with a good range. Made a trip to try on some of their items. Really friendly staff with good technical knowledge. All own brand stuff, but for me that's a plus. A proper outdoor shop.
