Argos Dover

I had a very disappointing experience at this store. I approached a sales assistant for help with a (CFL) light bulb, hoping to determine if it was a standard size. Before I could finish my question, she rudely interrupted, stating that she knew nothing about light bulbs and that the store was not a DIY store. "She then condescendingly suggested that she could come over and type the information into a monitor." I completely taken aback by her lack of professionalism. A male assistant informed me that they did not have the bulb size I needed in stock. I mentioned the rude behavior I encountered, and he tried to defend her by saying the store was busy. However, I feel that instead of dismissing my question in such an unhelpful way, she could have asked a colleague for assistance. To make matters worse, I later discovered that the local hardware store on Priory Street, which was far more professional and polite, confirmed that light bulbs are generally a standard size. I ended up purchasing the bulbs from there instead.” When I returned to the store to inform the assistant that the bulbs were standard, she shouted at me, insisting she would help earlier by typing out the information, but couldn’t tell me which size was correct. I calmly asked her to lower her tone, as there was no need to shout, but she stormed off and, before I could ask her name, she yelled out, "I'm done." When I did ask for her name, the only response I received was "Sam." This was an incredibly frustrating and unprofessional experience, especially during the holiday season.

Horrendous customer service this evening from one of the older male staff. Had a collection to make after paying online, but with no members of staff serving at the paid online desk we made our way over to where the staff were standing and talking to collect our order to which the member of staff said in an incredibly rude way "you have to go down the end where it clearly says paid online collection". I've previously worked at Argos and know that orders can be collected from anywhere through the PCs or handheld devices and the paid online desk is a convenience thing and ideal for when the store is busy. No greeting from the staff, nobody on the shopfloor to support and direct customers. Argos has gone massively down hill since I worked there. Never receive such poor service in my old local store Herne Bay.

Brilliant staff, friendly and a good all round knowledge. My dog suffers from terrible separation anxiety, so I tie her up run in and pay then run out again as she starts screaming...the staff are so cool and kind, they see whats going on and pop out with my item. Cant fault this shop!

Great place to buy, very helpful staff, great BBQ purchased for £45.00 amazing value, came with tools and a cover and wheels on front for easy movement. Very pleased.

Terrible customer service, I feel bad with the customer support, in Dover argos (15/08/2024)when I ask one of the male staff to help me to pay the amount of the product he said our policy is changed they no longer need to help customers. I don't know what they mean?

I use the Argos store in Dover about 4/5 times a year and the staff have always been very polite, respectful, helpful and friendly. In almost 15yrs NEVER at any time have I been given a item that's been opened and/or tampered with nor have I been given another persons returned and/or damaged item.

Product I ordered was as described, and good quality, it was delivered next day, the courier Barry was helpful, polite and efficient, so thank you Argos
