This place has gone seriously downhill. Poor stock levels of many things especially fresh fruit and veg and you have more chance of meeting Elvis than a member of staff. Shop was rammed and they closed the only open till in favour of self serve tills that often "don't recognise items" but the "colleague who is coming to help" simply isn't there. The guy who I assume is the manager looks like a rabbit in headlights and exits to the stockroom. ASDA ...I realise you are in trouble and this store simply cements that opinion. The staff that are there block your way or nearly run you over with the restocking trolleys. Poor...very poor

Clean and tidy store, not enough checkouts (or cashiers) and everything seems to cost a bit more in this Asda but was well stocked and staff I asked for help was great.

Great little store. Staff are all friendly and helpful apart from one. The older Lady working this morning needs some training. She’s rude, abrupt and has no people skills whatsoever. It’s a shame one lets it down because I would give it 5star otherwise

Having worked in a supermarket in the past I know how hard it can be to remain polite, positive and productive when there are usually so many factors that are difficult. We all have lives where sometimes, for many reasons, our manners are forgotten and we can be negative towards others.
With this in mind I have to congratulate
the staff at Asda on Queens road, Ashton-under-Lyne. I have shopped there a number of times and have always been treated with exceptional service. Today was no exception, a lovely, charming, polite young man served me on the lotto desk and I have to again say that he is a credit to the store. The time was 10.01am Saturday 20th January and the operator number is 000304 or 000804, couldn't see the number clearly, sorry.
Overall the store and staff are in my opinion....fantastic and they should be told that....DAILY. Well done and please continue to make us feel better with your service and smiles.

It is a good place for a quick shop.
Holds limited stock, but has special deals every now and again.
There is parking on site.
Cash machine.
Little more expensive than a larger store.

Been shopping here practically every day since it opened but seen a steady decline in customer service and especially since Matt Gregory left.

The amount of stock available is hit and miss too and a lot of items are unavailable more often than not and prices are still too high for this area...

The scan & go feature is an absolute joke and simply does not work and if you're not careful, adds items onto your shopping list so when you get to the checkouts you're paying a lot more than you should be and the staff blame YOU for it.

They then re scan everything in front of other customers which isn't only embarrassing it makes YOU look like a criminal.

I must admit, if Tesco was a little cheaper I would ditch this place in a shot.
