Store itself is fine but if you need to use the toilets it would be cleaner if you did it outside in the car park 😂

Impossible to know where to start. This store is now so disorganised it beggars belief from requiring a trolley small, on arrival to getting out at checkouts,a total embarrassment.
This company has taken over a store that was far better run under the ASDA original ownership and is looking at not being far off its knees.
If anyone is reading this in the head office and would like me to be more specific please get in contact and I will be more than happy to explain in detail .
Hope please explain why this is being allowed adjacent to you meat products. There are also cobwebs in this area.
Please don't thank me with generic reply.

Asda being run into the ground by new owners. I can even be bothered to list the amount of problems I encountered on my last visit. My family always shopped at Asda and I worked for them for many years but the amount of corner cutting for the sake of profit is absolutely shocking. I feel sorry for the staff who have to work there and defend this company. Will travel further and even pay more to avoid this shop in the future.

Ridiculous the amount of self service checkouts where staff stand around and chat all day.Also you can't use checkout till 9am.

I've attempted to raise my concerns with this store with ASDA directly but have received no reply or acknowledgement, so I might as well make the consumer aware.

TLDR: Check everything you buy in this store as it is not clean and the majority of the staff are less than caring for the customer.

I have been using this store for years as it's my local, but recently something has changed. The majority of the staff scowl around the store, and others have been completely rude (one member on tills/customer service, especially).
The quality of the products has deteriorated, and the general cleanliness of the store is questionable at best.
I purchased brocolli from here and after boiling found multiple bugs, so on my next visit I had a closer look around the store and found moldy lemons amongst fresh food (see pic) there is absolutely no way it went that moldy in a few hours this had been ignored for a while.
Bread that looked like they had swept the floor with, I also witnessed the pizza counter staff member collect the food debris and cheese from the pizza counter with a rag and toss it all into the cheese tub and continue to make more pizza with it, which is extremely bad for health and safety cross-contamination.
Also, random pallets were left around the store, one blocking the end of an aisle, and another customer stood on this as a member of staff walked by, and they did not care in the slightest. Everywhere I have been, the general rule is not to step on these for safety reasons, but this staff member did not speak to the customer or even attempt to offer to move it.

I would give this review a 2 as I've had decent experiences here, but it seems when you go in and look for the flaws, there's a lot that needs to be addressed. Hopefully someone reads this and who can do something about it so the customer experience and our general health and safety/food safety is improved at this store.
