Love coming to this store staff are always lovely but unfortunately today was a weird experience. There was a manager loudly berating a young employee over something inconsequential, the poor lad was very clearly a new worker and needs support not abuse from his manager - feedback on the shop floor shouldn’t include expletives...I don’t think employees should be talked to in a manner like this at all but especially not in front of customers.

I had to give Asda, Hinckley store one star to be able to write this review, unfortunately. The old woman on the kiosk is the worst example of customer service I have ever experienced. She served me, without even looking at me or acknowledging me being in front of her, disgusting! The other assistants are not much better, get rid an employ people that know an understand what customer service is really bout Asda!

I feel sorry for the workers that do do a good job here but unfortunately there are very few but I have sang praises to those who deserve it.

However the self checkout is the worst and on this occasion was the worst time yet.

Team member Andrea thought it was acceptable to stand and have a social chat while we stood there watching and waiting and this is after she has walked past our till twice and not at tented to us. I went over and explained there is nothing more frustrating that waiting and watching the staff gossiping while we wait, especially after finishing our long day at work aswell. Andrea's response was she has been really busy working all day and is always there doing it on her own. Following this Andrea was loudly commenting on this so we could here saying she is only doing her job. Working full time in a pub and restaurant myself I understand the difficulties in customer service but Andrea clearly doesn't.

I then spoke to a manager Neil, he seemed like he didn't care in the slightest no apology etc. He said he would have words and he was not interested in further discussing the matter and no reassurance that Asda management are working to improve the issue. Honestly if that is how the management are I am jot sulrised the staff behave in the manner they do.

I was more upset by the attitude of the team member and the manager failed to make me and my husband feel any better about the situation. We are thinking we are going to avoid this Asda from now on which is a shame, we love Asda and this isn't the case at every Asda.

Also just to add what is the point in the staff having name badges and uniform of they don't wear them or wear them incorrectly, had Andrea and Neil had been wearing name badges they wouldn't of had to snap at me when I asked for their names.

Welcomed by brown gloomy lighting, through security barriers that scream "we don't trust our own customers" we have the delightful ASDA experience. The pictures attached are how this store ALWAYS looks. Super low quality food which is mere seconds from going off. Garlic and potatoes start growing in your cupboard the same week you bought them. Sauces go moldy one day after opening and refrigerating. Was shopping here due to proximity but had to stop... just horrendous, third world store. Stark contrast to ALDI just up the road! Which is FULL, FRESH, brightly lit, and CLEAN. Save yourself the hassle and avoid.

I tried to scan a multipack of water and it wouldn't scan, the woman came over and told me it wasn't a multipack and that I would have to open it and scan them individually, I looked at her confused as why would you put them on the shelf without unpacking them. She looked at me like I was a moron then walked off. When I got home looked at the bottles it clearly stated it was part of a multipack, she just couldn't be bothered to put in bar code in and it cost me more in the end.

Staff at asda look very bemused and even if you try to lighten the mood with a bit of banter they roll their eyes un amused . On reflection not a happy work force and definitely not the place to spend your hard earned income stay away as their stoney faces say not today as none of you are welcome .

Went into store today ( will be last time ever) Couldn't find a few items I wanted , rude staff who just walk past you, got to tills, not one serviced till open. Member at self service said she couldn't open till. So i left trolley where it was and left store. Went to it's rival down the road got everything I wanted and served at till. No wonder Asda is sinking.

Hinckley ASDA may not be the biggest out there but it’s pretty much got everything you would want from a supermarket. It has a cafe, photo centre, bakery’ pharmacy and click and collect.

Stock levels can be a bit hit and miss but are generally pretty good, the price of products is also very competitive, way cheaper than Morrisons but not quite as cheap as Aldi. You can currently use you Blue Light card for 10% off if you have one.

The ASDA rewards app is excellent and offers great savings and is also kind of addictive. Plenty of parking at ASDA Hinckley.
