Editing my original review because things have taken a turn for the worse unfortunately. It seems like there’s no management at the store. The staff members are either on their phones or chatting amongst themselves while ignoring the customers who need assistance at the checkouts. I hope the customer service improves.

Be careful with this store. I found insects in side the dates.
The response by one of the managers when I went back to let them know about it and about how the matter is very important and people could be sick, the response was, my shifts is over and it's normal and it's not our products.

The toilets have been getting refunded for 4 weeks now, so there's one each for male and female, which are always filthy, considering there's a Macdonald's in store I'm sure they'd have to provide more toilets because of a restaurant being there. I've worked I. Supermarkets and the toilets usually take no more than a week to be refurbished

Absolute Joke of a shop. Scan and go counters never open so you have to wait for self service (which only half are turned on so always queues. Then you have to search for someone for a bag. It’s an absolutely ridiculous place. Worst managed supermarket I have ever been in. Clueless staff slowing down the checkout procedure. Avoid if you can.

This store has a large stock to choose from. A little difficult to navigate but this is expected of a large superstore. The self-checkouts are easy enough to work, but due to how busy it can get, you can be waiting a little while to check out. Nothing too drastic, though.

I used to do most of my shopping here but not any more. I can't actually get to the doors without being hassled by aggressive drug addicts pestering me for cash, even when I'm trying to use the cashpoint. Shelves constantly empty, especially vegetarian food, things from the bakery & pet food. Half the checkouts are unmanned & half the self service ones switched off or not working properly & trying to get help using them takes ages. I've noticed in the reviews they mainly thank people for good reviews & ignore bad ones too!! This shop has gone massively downhill. I don't expect anything to happen over this review either, it'll be ignored like the rest of them.

ASDA scams people for money and then gives them the runaround until it’s too late to complain to the bank. So just go straight to the bank and get your money back if you have to.
First, I got charged the full amount plus an international change fee. Then we got an email that said they could not do the transaction and it paid another way. It hadn’t showed up in my bank statement here in the US yet, so I sent money electronically, so the boyfriend could just buy himself. They took both payments.
A few days later, I saw the charges on my U.S. Bank account. I called back to the store to complain. Because they only had an 800 number for corporate. And I can’t dial an 800 number from the United States.
I kept going back to the corporate store and they kept saying somebody would call me back. That they would put it up the chain. No one ever called me back. So this one grocery order cost me more than double, because PayPal exchange fees are even higher, PayPal is how I sent the cash to my significant other so he could pay for Himself. Yeah, so I was out about $280 for less than $100 in groceries from ASDA.
They cut, pretending somebody was going to get back to me and help me. So I didn’t file a complaint in my US Bank account until after the 60 day mark.
If anybody from ASDA Actually reads this and wants to fix it somehow, the order number That supposedly did not go through is 9232 3060 000 90 on December 28, 2023. The store was in Derry, NI.
I’m not the only person with this complaint, but the other people aren’t text savvy. So I decided I’ll just do the complaint myself where other people can see it, maybe.

Unfortunately my online tesco xmas delivery had £80 of the order unavailable so last minute I had to go Asda and face the gauntlet. I was dreading it! Although it was busier than normal it ran like a well oiled machine, shelves being restocked constantly and loads of friendly staff available to help with questions. Can't fault the place! Made my xmas shop smooth and simple. Big up Asda Hulme team!
