Asda Ipswich Superstore is large and spacious. Has plenty of free parking. Wheelchair Accessible. Sells freshly cut flowers, clothes and shoes. Fresh bakery 🥯 Selling hot sausage rolls and steak slices etc
A nice range of prepared sandwiches.
Books and stationery and electrical items.
Lots of tills, self service and scan as you go.
It’s great that you can buy a large range of items under one roof.
Great place to go to do your weekly shop 🙂

Tried to do a click & collect! Absolute nightmare! No people at the C&C area just lockers & the computer working them was out of order! Phoned number (see photo), didn’t through to store just another ruddy call centre! I then had to park on double yellow line at their goods entrance (opposite police station) to collect shopping!!! Would have been quicker to do the shop myself! When I complained in store I was told it’s been out of action for ages!! Never again!! 🤬🤬🤬🤬

Always try to avoid this store, but it's on my way home so it's inevitable that I end up going in sometimes, even though I'm nearly always annoyed by the experience. Today was no exception, endless self-checkout tills, many red lights on seemingly one member of staff manning them all. Another example of a business trying to find out how awful they can become before people stop using them, it's a great shame as the staff are generally cheerful and helpful but the shopping experience is woeful. Self-checkout - what I want to do after leaving the store!

Just been to pick up a parcel for first time. Wasn't too sure where to go and asked a staff member called Charley who not only took me to log in but explained what to do and only left me when completed. Very helpful thanks 😊

The toilets are absolutely disgusting, 🤢 urine, faeces, blood over the doors, walls, floors. I cannot imagine the bacteria if they were to be swabbed by Environmental Health Agency? Not only that, I sent my 15yr old daughter in to grab a few bits whilst I stayed with our elderly dog in the car outside, only for her to inform me she was pulled over to one side by a security guard with very poor English and was asked outright ‘did you pay for those?’ referring to the goods in her arms. Shocked and little worried she said ‘yes I have the receipt’ and produced it, to which he then said ‘let me see it then’ she already had it out, then he gave a nod and let her go. Like what the actual? Since when is it ok to assume someone has stolen goods just because they choose not to use a carrier bag? And assume she is a thief just because she is a teenager. I will be taking this further. Where is diplomacy, tact, respect, civility? Just disgusted

So sad now that Asda supermarket staff are paid to watch you check out your own shopping. 3 tills open, long queues for those, or DIY. Plenty of staff looking on.
The ladies toilets can be smelt from outside the door by the flowers.
I used to look forward to my Ipswich Asda shopping experience - not any more. How can Tesco have lots of tills open, but not Asda?

The worst cafe I've ever been too, mouldy undercooked chips, not even a salad & a rock hard chicken Burger that was off in colour n that may as well have still been frozen! Just go to McDonald's or even the bin would be more appealing in all honesty, not even worth giving away. Not to mention store staff aren't very helpful, only 2 tills open and no one at self check out on a busy afternoon & the store looks very outdated, it's gone very downhill, used to be a great susper store but not anymore genuinely would avoid.

I don't visit this branch of ASDA in Ipswich often (it's probably a few years ago since the last time), but being in the area and passing by, my wife suggested we get some chicken that our daughter asked us to get for her. This was not a pleasurable experience at all.

Whilst my wife went in search of the meat, I took the opportunity to visit the toilet. It was disgusting. I used a cubicle, the WC was full of toilet paper and yellow water. There was a sea of urine on the floor which stank. I tried to flush the toilet which permitted a dribble of water into the pan. In all seriousness, this is a health hazard.

Everything was grubby, and the press down taps give you just enough water to soap your hands and then shuts off the water as you place hands underneath them! I couldn't get out of there quick enough. I would have taken some photos but it was too gross for publication.

I found my wife who had just purchased some chicken breasts, walking away from the checkout she noticed a hole in the plastic packaging. We went to the customer service desk who asked us to get another. While my wife went off to get another (note: no staff to help with this), I realised the customer service area also looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since my last visit a few years ago.

As we left the store my wife commented that she wouldn’t go back in there as everything looked tired and grubby.

The final joke was the car park. I had forgotten how ridiculous the layout of it is.

We won’t be going there again - ever.
