Awful experience and the staff haven’t got a clue. Went early hours for shopping and alcohol on the way to The Lakes for a few days.
Got to the self checkouts and was refused alcohol and they told me it was Asda policy after 11pm not to sell it. Told them that all the 24 hour stores where I live sell alcohol 24 hours a day when open and the manager disputed it, I asked him did he want me to phone my local store to be corrected and he declined, said the stores in Liverpool are obviously busier and he said look around we are empty, I asked him what footfall in a store had to do with licensing of a store.
Left £70 worth of shopping and took my custom to Sainsbury next day.
Worst Asda store I have ever visited, 1 star is too much.,
Raised a complaint with their head office the next day, got a copy and paste apology.
I’m a manager in retail myself so have given them some tips to highlight this to customer and it saves them then lying to customers with claims of an Asda nationwide policy which is incorrect.

This was a massive supermarket to visit, where I bought a yummy cheese twist for a cheap price of 65p from the bakery! The store has large signs for all of the areas, including its aisles that have all of the products well-organized. I found the self-service checkout easy to use and the area as a whole pleasant, where cleanliness had been maintained.

I feel the grocery collection point has made the carpark utterly dangerous, it's not well thought through.
Also really dislike the fact that this Asda does have changing rooms for clothes, yet they refuse to let people use these.

This review is for ALL retailers, so, sorry Asda for using your platform. Button mushrooms ? The clue is in the title BUTTON mushrooms, NOT DUSTBIN LID MUSHROOMS. Quality control obviously and, way, way too often, demonstrably, needs addressing/ratifying. Either that or change the name. You wouldn't expect a jumbo sausage to be 1 inch long would you ? THE CLUE IS IN THE TITLE. Where are the trade description's r-soles when, for once in your life, they could actually be of some use ?

If you shop there at 6pm on a Saturday, expect chaotic empty shelves, products alongside incorrect pricing etc. it looks like a store after the country’s been told to expect the end of the world. They seem chronically under staffed which would explain the condition of stock on the shelves. Key to maximum profits is to keep everything ordered and well stocked. This is massively lacking here. It’s a big store, and from a customer perspective during peak times has big problems. And I bought a whoops priced item that went out of date the day before. Amazingly poor. The check out staff are excellent though and really helpful.

Dear Asda,
Since you refuse to answer complaints with anything other than generic answers that change nothing I thought I'd write it on here instead.
This shop is a shambles.
For the last few weeks every time I've been I've had to go hunting for a basket.
Have you stopped employing people to move them back to the place where people come in?
The fresh baked cakes and doughnuts are all mislabelled and when I asked one of your employees which was which she just laughed and said they were in the wrong place. Then she went back to doing what she was doing without changing them over. These have got allergens on them!!!
The shelf stackers leave pallets and cages in the way of shelves and fridges so you can't get to anything. They also walk straight towards customers so you have to move out of the way to stop yourself getting run over.
And whoever that bloke in the shirt is. I assume a department manager since he's in jeans most of the time. I actually think he's aiming for me, dragging that pallet behind him. What's his problem? I didn't think you were supposed to take pallets on to the shop floor. Maybe that's changed.
Today I managed to buy some tobacco from the "customer service" /tobacco kiosk without ever hearing the woman behind the counter say a word to me. Please, thank you, hello. All acceptable.
The just essentials bacon. In the last month I've bought some and it's quite nice for cheap bacon. But I had no idea how much it was because there is no price on the fridge. They've even restocked the shelves and still not bothered. Some people need to add up their shopping as they go. I thought I'd have a look on the app when I got home. It's not even on there. Am I to assume this is free?
The food is fine from here. Just the usual supermarket products but the way they run the place is laughable.
Just be ready for it when you go

Always seem understaffed, if you can find a member of staff to ask a question of, the answer is usually vague and most of the stock levels are shocking. Sainsbury's and Morrisons will be getting my business in future.
