There are so few decent bakeries about. Baker's Dozen always serves the best fresh bread and cakes. Definitely go to when I have a Saturday morning off and I'm able to go and visit. There are so few decent bakeries about.
Baker's dozen always serves the best fresh bread and cakes.
Definitely go to when I have a Saturday morning off and I'm able to go and visit, and then indulge myself in beautiful fresh bread etc

What a disappointment I came here because this bakery is supposed to have the best French baguette outside of France. I got something that is worse that what we can find in grocery stores in France (the lowest Quality). It is dry. It has not swollen during cooking and it’s quite salty. I think there is a need to review the French baguette recipe and cooking method urgently!
However, I found the buns lovely!!
The sesame loaf Is quite tasty, However, the crust is yet again paper like (Just dry).
Finally, I had a pastry which looks like a Mille-feuilles but it is not. It is simply Puff paste and whipped cream, It is not too sweet not too salty quite nice even though very simple. As I did not know that pastry trial to taste it, I cannot compare it to anything else.
Now regarding the service: I felt slightly rushed and not at all helped, even though it was clear that I did not know anything about English pastries. That’s a shame when I made sure to go early morning so that the bakery will not be too busy and they will have time to serve me.
Otherwise, the staff was polite and smiling, so not a bad experience.

I came in to get my normal order of jam doughnuts and I witnessed a young blond boy, who was new, as I had not seen him there before, spit on random batches of dough. The young blond boy was washing dishes at the back as I caught a glimpse of him in the act. I believe I heard another employee call him ollie. I would like this to be resolved asap, and until it isn't, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Very disappointing from a very good bakery.

Visited this bakery after driving with my girls, yet although the opening times specified on the doors states 15:00 the young girls in side were rather rude telling me that it is closed and turned out the lights. For walk up customers who do not access online to obtain opening hours - this is rather conflicting and not the most pleasant experience of this location.

Great service, delicious bread! The loaf pictured is hands down the best bread I've had in 16 years living in the UK.
