Barbour Factory Outlet is my favourite shop! Fantastic range of clothing, although they have stopped selling, kids wear 😪 plenty of mens and women's coats, tops and footwear, and a few bottoms and accessories. It's worth a trip if you're in need of designer gear at a discounted rate. There is parking onsite and on the main road and easy enough to get to from the A1/A19 although avoid in peak traffic. Very high quality products by Barbour, many custom made and unique individually crafted products. I bought two waxed jackets and they are comfortable and look very smart in keeping with the Barbour style. The member of staff Maria, was very helpful and knowledgeable about products.

Called in to purchase a couple of items to send to friends in China as they love Barbour clothing. Prices are now getting out of hand, even for items imported from other countries. Regardless, we did find something but wish we hadn't bothered. Staff at the till were so miserable, barely looked at us. Could be because we hadn't purchased any big ticket items, not sure. Will probably look online next time

My wife and her family are from South Shields, Barbour’s hometown, and have been loyal customers for years. Like every Christmas season, we visited the local outlet—but this time, it was quite disappointing. Even the cheapest belt was priced at £45, and some jackets were actually cheaper online. That’s especially frustrating for local shoppers who were hoping for a good bargain. Barbour should seriously reconsider its pricing strategy here. A company with such a long-standing heritage in the region, woven into its corporate DNA, should do more to give back to the community that has supported it for so many years.

Sounds like things should be cheaper at an outlet centre, but I found almost everything cheaper online. Not well maintained. Clothing did not have size tags on the hangers and all shoes where mixed up in the wrong size categories. A bit shambolic really. Barbour are great products but the place lets them down.

Great outlet. They always have more of a selection for men then women. Have picked up some great bargains in my many visits. Definitely worth going and seeing what they have

Love this shop. Dropped a jacket in for repair and clean just as they were closing. The lovely lady said it was no bother (we explained we travelled a few hundred miles) and she was happy to help. Got jacket back shortly later.... Looks brand new ; )

Brilliant place, loads of discounts to be had, no pressure at all environment, friendly staff and plenty of choice.
