8 of us, plus dog, on holiday for February half term, and we were looking for pasties for tea. This is a gem of: friendly, helpful, chatty, and with an amazing array of beautifully presented food. The pasties were mouth-wateringly tasty, and well worth detouring to get them. If/when we come back, this will be our first port of call

My wife & I were visiting my daughter who lives in Ilfracombe.
We went into Bassetts Butchers on Tuesday 18th February. Although we were told that the pies were steak & kidney they turned out to be chicken. However -- they were very nice but not what we ordered.

The best pasties and sausage rolls since sliced bread. We’ll come back to Ilfracoombe To visit this butcher. £1 for the best ever sausage roll. Get in there and buy some!

We popped in yesterday to buy a couple of rib-eye steaks as we are camping for the weekend. The steaks were absolutely beautiful - top quality and succulent. The dogs also had a bone each which were prepped with care and attention. There was also a good bit of chat and laughter while I was in the shop.

If you’re in the area, definitely call in. Customer service is 100% and quality of products is 100%.

Amazing meat and pasties!
Great customer care and service.
Met Toby fishing and decided to visit beyond the delicious looking shop windows.
Immediately bought a box of 10 pasty’s to take home. Best I’ve ever had and at half the price of neighbouring establishments.
Honestly, whatever meat or pastries they can provide, you won’t get better.

Got all our Christmas family fare from Mike and Toby.
All excellent quality the rolled turkey was delicious with the bacon to cover and sausages.20mins a pound + 20mins @ 170c perfect advice.
Happy retirement Mike and sure Toby will carry on successfully.

Staying in Ilfracombe for a Wedding and combined short break. Needed some Sirloin Steak - the butcher was very friendly and helpful. Also bought hot Pasties and would totally recommend their Pork Pies!
