I contacted Bespoke Wig as I'm starting chemotherapy and wanted to be prepared. I have curly hair which I understood is difficult in terms of finding wigs. I contacted Caroline who booked me an appointment. I went in to see her then sat in the chair as she looked through brochures and gave me 2 choices. Other people I contacted asked to see pics of my hair in advance so they could be prepared with a selection of choices or actual wigs, but decided to go to Bespoke Wigs as it was closer to home. I should have seen the red flags from the lack of preparation. From the two choices, I wasn't really happy with either so I went away to think about it. I said I wasn't sure and Caroline texted me to say that if I bought one, I could refund or exchange it less the cost of delivery. I decided to go for it as I had the refund option if it wasn't right.

I paid for it, even though I saw the same wig for half the price online, but Caroline assured me that I'd get a more personal service.

I went in for a fitting a few days later and I really didn't like the wig as it didn't look much like my hair. Caroline said a hairdresser can make it look more like my hair and suggested she could put me in contact with someone. I hadn't had a chance to show my husband or daughter, so I took it away as I knew I had the refund option.

I contacted her today to say that having spoken to some hairdressers about changing it to be more like hair, I've been told it can't really, so I asked for the refund that she promised me in writing

She has now changed the goal posts and told me that as soon as I left the shop with it, I've lost the chance if a refund. She did not tell me that at any point when I was in the salon or in writing, she told me I could have a refund. I could understand no refund if I'd worn it, but I haven't.

She's refusing a refund and because I sent her a copy of her message where she offered a refund and told her that she's changing the goal posts, she responded back to say to stop contacting her and that I'm bullying her . I sent 2 messages, no bullying at all, just sending back what she had told me

Outrageous behaviour to someone who is going through chemo . I've lost £400. I'm pretty disgusted by the behaviour.

I had a fantastic experience at Bespoke Wig - Caroline was absolutely amazing.

I was losing my hair due to chemotherapy so went to see Caroline whilst I still had some of my own hair left. She instantly picked out a colour swatch that perfectly matched my natural hair - when she placed it over my hair you couldn't tell the difference. She then went straight to a wig in the brochure that was identical to my hair style/length.

Caroline ordered the wig and I went back 1 week later to pick it up. It was perfect. She gave me advice on how to care for my wig as well as giving me the confidence to play around with it - my wig is real hair so she encouraged me to straighten or curl it like I would my natural hair.

The photo attached shows both my wig (left hand side) and my natural hair (right hand side) to show how perfect it was. People who know I have a wig have commented on how similar it is to my natural hair, and people who don't know I'm wearing a wig are shocked that it is not my hair.

The whole process of losing my hair and needing a wig was really upsetting for me, and was something I was dreading, but Caroline was so lovely and helpful, she made the experience so much less stressful and upsetting than I thought it would be. I would highly recommend.

An enormous thank you to Caroline for making me feel 'human' again. Chemo may have taken away my hair, but Caroline put it back! The wig is so comfortable and looks incredibly real. Caroline was very kind and complimentary, thank you so much.

Caroline was very helpful and put me at ease. She colour matched the wig to my real hair perfectly. Caroline made the experience much less stressful than it could have been. I am very pleased with my wig and will definitely go back to Bespoke wigs in the future.

Caroline is genuinely interested in doing the best by you and for you. There is no hard sell. When it comes to hair loss secondary to chemo, she knows how to handle the highs and lows that come with this sensitively. It took a couple of trips to get the "right" wig. I went initially with a fixed idea and found that was not what suited. I also had experienced headaches with a couple of heavier wigs I had bought on line. Caroline was able to open my eyes to alternatives. She navigates wigs and toppers as a librarian knows authors and book titles. I wore the wig for the whole day yesterday and it was 24 degrees C. So the service I received at Bespoke Wig and the outcome has me genuinely happy and no longer wanting to hide behind my hat.

Visited first to select colour and style, but then to collect the wig. Caroline is well used to dealing with the element of shock that comes from early fittings. She was also helpful with suggestions for the final styling though I did want my own hairdresser to actually do this.

I can't praise Caroline enough, she's understanding and knowledgeable and puts you at ease straight away. I picked my real hair wig up 12 days ago and I love it. I've just started chemo and even though I still have all my own hair I wear my wig because it looks so natural and so good. Thank you so much for everything Caroline your a real star.
