Only had great experience with online orders , and a visit in store. Beautiful selection of all different types of yarns, and a great section for deals too. They inspired me to join a CAL recently which I'm really enjoying. Quick helpful replies to online queries too. Next visit I need to visit the tearoom too! ☺️

Fantastic shop, contains everything you could possibly need from cross stitch through to amiguri. Could easily spend hours in here, there is a small cafe and they run workshops.

There are also so many patterns available here, the staff are super friendly and helpful too. A must visit if you love crafting with yarn or cotton!

I'm very new to crochet and the person behind the counter was exceptional!! They helped me pick out the right yarn and explained the difference between US weights and UK measures. Gave advice on what was best to use in my projects and why.
Will definitely be back to pick up new yarn in my future projects. Thank you!!!

Absolutely fantabulous shop.
If you re a knitter or crocheter this is the best place in our area to feed your habit.
Such a huge selection of wool for every type of project is available with a fab selection of patterns too. There are lots of example pieces around the shop to give you loads of inspiration. I love to see / feel the texture which you just can’t get the same feeling from buying online.
Highly recommend.
I’ve got two projects on the go ❣️

My order was delayed initially by a week as the needles I had ordered were out of stock. I was informed promptly and politely and was told I could contact if I wanted to. Just under a week later I emailed asking for an update, I was told they were still not delivered and it should be a few more days. I waited a few more days, emailed and the response was not professional, or understanding that I had waited all this time and had it shown as not in stock when i purchaed I would not have had to wait so long. It simply said apologies item still not in stock should be a few days. When my order was finally dispatched, I received a dispatch email, no contact to say pleased to let you know your items back ect. It all felt unpersonal. When choosing a shop, I went with this company due to the fact they have been going so long and after having a retail shop myself, I felt they would take extra care of there were any issues. While everything arrived speedily and intact, personally if my customers have waited for an item that should've been out of stock for over a week, (so that's the businesses fault, not the customers)I am apologetic as it is an error on our side, , understanding and will include a extra item as a gesture of goodwill and apology.I don't normally write reviews especially negative ones, but after spending so long choosing which supplier and putting my trust into them, (my order was not a small one either,it hit the free delivery id you spend £30) and the lack of care and updates i felt like I had shopped with a big company who didnt havw time. Will I be returning to black sheep and use Thier discount code that ran out a few days after I finally got my order? No.

Lovely tea shop which we utilised twice as we were quite overcome by the range of yarn and colours, on this first visit. I ended taking photos of yarn to consider when I got home, calmed down and could check my yarn stash. Wonderfully knowledgeable and helpful staff.
