I was visiting the uk (from France) and travelling to Padstow in Cornwall so had an overnight stop at Ilminster we were going to our daughters for the new year so I was going to take a turkey for new years day i had tried waitrose and tescos but no luck so I searched for a local butchers and boners came up unfortunately they were closed so I phoned just after 8am and got an answer yes we have fresh turkey crown, they asked how many fore 6 i said they told me they would hold it until 4pm very trustworthy as didn't know me at all never asked for a deposit or anything just my name i was there about 10 am and I explained who I was he bought out a splendid breast of turkey say that there be plenty enough. He was so right it was the most beautiful and succulent turkey we have ever had.the shop is so traditional with hung beef sausages and attached pies galore, so much so we will be looking to buy a property in Ilminster because it was a very nice town

One of my regular shops . Best butchers around, superb quality, really friendly staff and always happy to give advice on cooking. It may cost a bit more sometimes but the quality more than makes up for it plus there's never any waste.

There was only my husband and myself on Xmas Day this year so I ordered a crown of Turkey from Bonners. I have to say it was the most tender and succulent Turkey that I have ever bought and so easy to cook. Mr Bonner cut the joint, rolled it and tied it beautifully and it also had a red button which shot up when cooked!
It was also vacuum packed which meant it had a longer shelf life too. I had enough over to freeze for two more meals. I’m not surprised they have such a high rating. Great meat, great service!

We have used the butchers a few times and they've been very knowledgeable and helpful. Their delicatessen next door has great 'artisan' pies at better prices than most. They have handmade sandwiches onsite plus quiches, pork pies, scotch eggs, cheese...etc

After 53 years in Australia we wondered what the butchers would be like. Luckily we bought a house in Ilminster because the butcher..Bonners is the best butcher we have had. The fillet steaks are awesome and always cook them for guests and without guests ! Congratulations Bonners !! 💖💖💖💖
