Lovely surprise today - went in to buy a few items, and came out with a brilliant box of fruit & veg for £2! Presumably slightly out of sell-by (as slightly soft etc), but great value! Thank you Booths for being generous-spirited! P S Guinness also a good buy!

Just wanted to say Thank you to the staff especially the security guy who helped my Mum and I solve the case of the missing cash back! Nothing was too much trouble and helped Mum feel reassured. So good to have such a nice shop looking after their elderly customers. Great food too!

Booths is a Lancashire Waitrose. No I will say better than that. All fresh veg produce are sourced locally and are picked the same day. I would recommend them you cannot get any better and have an excellent meat counter. Bakery fabulous. Go and try their produce. Amazing.

Just had our Christmas dinner ruined. Thank you Booths Chorley. Bought a selection of steaks from the butcher counter here for our Christmas Day meal and two were just OK (not great by any stretch) but I had the crushing misfortune to endure THE most toughest, tasteless steak I have EVER eaten in my entire life. What an absolute disgrace. I’ve enjoyed a great many steaks in my life. Some eaten in restaurants and some cooked at home but this Christmas Day steak was categorically the worst steak ever in my entire life.

I got an obscenely expensive rib of beef here last year for Christmas Day and it was nothing short of atrocious. More fat than actual beef (the dogs ate more of it than we did) so I thought I’d be safe with steaks this year. Big mistake. At least the dogs enjoyed it again this year because I certainly didn’t. Thank you Booths for ruining what should have been a celebration meal with family and turning it into a VERY expensive meal for my dogs. Valuable lesson learned.

Forget Waitrose. This northern grocer has been delivering the same satisfaction of paying more for your daily shop than a trip to Aldi.

They have a lovely selection of artisanal products and might even have a small tin of caviar when a craving something to top on blinis, this far from civilisation.

A decent branch of Booths, well located in the town centre with a chargeable car park adjacent.
Typical range of products available along with some harder to find specialised goods.
Decent alcohol section. It's not the cheapest of supermarkets, but one of the best.
Staff are friendly, welcoming, and helpful.
