Always worth checking in Boyes. A bit of everything from automotive, clothing, cosmetics, haberdashery, toiletries and gardening. Stocks products not found in supermarkets or larger retail chains and has proven useful on many occasions. Open on Sundays too.

I was introduced to this store by my beloved wife. I was totally unaware of what a secret vault of hidden treasures this was! Firstly, can I just say they have the stock range perfected beyond appraisal. Anything you are in search of, you will most likely find here. All of the isles are well organised, and presentable. Everywhere you look it is bargains galore! Immensely affordable prices! I bought myself a wonderful tartan gown that was only £7! Along with some gardening products. I found myself spending around 45 minutes here and I could've spent far longer here. The members of staff kindly assisted me, and were useful. I will most definitely be visiting here, more often!

The staff here are brilliant, so helpful, I have phoned ahead looking for fabric dye a couple of times and they are always so helpful and pleasant, real old school style retail, wish there were more places like this still going!

Love this shop, good prices, lots of choice and pleasant helpful staff it reminds me of the old style Woolworth stores from years ago where you could get practically anything.

For a medium size shop they have a vast range of stock and I think if they had bigger premises they'd have larger household items as well.

I also use the Boyes in Chester le Street when I occasionally get down there but that is a bit further to travel so the Consett store is my local so to speak.

Lobe boyes....smashing staff in there friendly and chatty always good deals on you never see the staff standing around talking to each other like in some other places they always on the go doing something good selection off dog treats and toys for my dog and good gear for the gym bench and Ellesse stuff at not bad prices.

First time in any Boyes and was quite surprised at the range of products available. Even found a Car Cigarette Charger USB extension, and I think it was cheaper than Amazon! It's got everything, even clothes. Worth a look in. You never know what you mind find.
