Visited in the afternoon on a Saturday in November. The selection in here is quite good, with a nice mix of staples and more ‘artisanal’ products. Big range of cheese. Meat counter. Nice selection of beers, with a small emphasis on London breweries. Friendly staff. Prices seemed pretty decent overall. It was a productive shop I had here and I would certainly return next time I am in the area.

I just shopped here today and was served by an incredibly rude staff member at the self-serve checkouts. I overheard her being hostile to another customer before she came to help me. I had scanned an item that has come up with an error. When the staff member came to me I tried to rescan it and she raised her voice saying "why is everyone today so impatient." I told her she was being rude then she got even more belligerent. I am absolutely shocked by the way this lady spoke to me and evidently other customers in the shop too. This person should not be working in a customer facing role if she doesn't want to deal with people. This soured my experience of shopping at this budgens and I won't be coming back because of it.

The choice of products is really nice . The ladies at the Sushi counter& Sandwiches counter are amazing, very helpful and very friendly .

I came there to collect my parcel. The worst customer experience I had in London. Rude staff, who did not even dare looking for my package. The store manager came and did not even say hello or thank you for waiting. My parcel has been delivered by UPS and they lost it... I highly advise you not to choose budgens Islington for your parcel delivery. I am still fighting between UPS and them today to find where has it been lost..

One star for trying to deliberately rip people off and overcharge. The supervisor tried to charge £6 for a bottle of fruit juice when it was £4.25. Overcharging has happened so many times, it is intentional.

Pleasently surprised by this place - has a great selection of local products. Even sold swordfish there which i was not expecting - salad boxes not too bad either you get a lot of food for 4 quid. Prob 3 stars for salad bar

What a disappointing place! I thought having the wrong labels and wrong prices on items was a mistake now and then. I have been shopping in this place for a couple of years now. I ve come to realise that the wring prices thing is intentional. You won't see me again I will go to the whole foods shop opposite the tube station! You used to be great but unfortunately you re not taking feedback seriously!
