Meat-house & Seafood Street Food kitchen, residing in Cutlery Works food hall in Neepsend, Sheffield. Visit here for some seriously good meat plates, seafood sub rolls, mussels, Piper’s artisan hot dogs, freakshakes and desserts.

This August I FINALLY took Ben to Butcher & Catch, after they had moved into Cutlery Works from April this year, and I’d only been bringing him scraps of leftovers back from work – and we had a reyt meat feast!!🥩🍖

I went with the Beef Frites, a favourite of mine, because I’m a BIG fan of their chilli, made with mince and big chunks of beef. The chilli is poured over a generous helping of fries, and then topped with strips of perfectly cooked chipotle seasoned steak, crispy onions, chives and lashings of chipotle mayo.

Ben opted for the Philly Cheesesteak. The steak was so tender! The grilled steak comes in a fresh milk roll, with caramelised red onion jam, melted gouda cheese (could have had more of this as we do love cheese!!) and watercress. Served with a good helping of fries.

We left fully satisfied and will be back to try more. A great choice for meat and seafood lovers, and people who aren’t afraid to get a little messy with their food! THE ONLY PLACE TO GET FISH & CHIPS AT CUTLERY WORKS 🎉

Ordered 2 Sticky Belly Pork sides A soft shell crab roll each and a portion of mussels. Everything was perfect, cooked to perfection and delicious. I underestimated the generosity of the belly pork portion. The chunks were pretty big and 1 would have done. Have it a good crack though. The sauce with the mussels was brilliant and not just the usual garlic sauce. Would work well as a soup too. Softshell crab rolls were fantastic and even down to the soft milk bread made everything bang on. We’ll definitely be back.

Always enjoy going to Cutlery Works. Loads of choice and always great quality.. but when me and my wife called in for food on the 23rd of August this year. I was blown away by the food at Butcher and Catch. Seriously. You have to try it. I went for Dan’s Big Plate and was not disappointed, at all. It was sensational. Had to go and thank the guys at the counter - turns out Dan was in and cooked my meal.
Some of the meat joints in Sheffield have been dropping in quality or plate size of late.. but this. This was worth every penny and more! Thanks Dan and Team. Neale Jarrett

I've eaten a couple of times at Butcher & Catch recently and will definitely be back. I've been once on a weekday night to get dinner with a mate and again to their beer tasting collab with Abbeydale brewery. Both times they were lovely, everything felt easy and the food was banging.

It's like creole comfort food, so it definitely feels pretty unique in Sheffield. They're not limited to that though, I had some amazing Jerk beef and a few other things there too so it's a bit of a mix. I loved it.

Tried out the cutlery works for mid afternoon food. We chose a few different dishes from different venders.
From here we had the chilly cheesesteak and fries- the fries were lovely and crisp, the philly cheesesteak was tasty but we found the beef to be a bit over peppery and a bit too many onions. There was also hardly any cheese unfortunately. I would try other things though... maybe the pork belly as it looked amazing!

Absolutely phenomenal food. The chefs really do understand seafood and the mussels were amongst the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had a lot of mussels!). When chatting with one of the guys after, he clearly knew his stuff including sourcing high quality and responsibly sourced produce.

We also had the shrimp sandwich with lemon pepper fries and the shrimp were giant, beautifully battered and fried to perfection. They remained juicy and flavoursome inside with a satisfying crunch, accompanied by the other po-boy fillings.

We also had the milkshakes which were super awesome.

The Cutlery Works setting is always great especially upstairs. I highly recommend coming here and sharing several dishes to make the most of everything.

Brilliant, fresh food. Lovely and tender meat and fish, well seasoned and paired with the most delicious coleslaw in existence.

Highly recommend the nicely spiced whitebait and tequila tacos!

Service was great, with very friendly and bubbly wait staff. Jemimah was lovely and helpful with our order and table service.

Had a great lunch meal here. We were served by Caitlin who made us feel welcome was greeted by the chef. The burgers were nice with a chargrilled taste. The children's menu offered good value as well. Came to around £50 for 3 people which is very fair.
