Came here as 2 adults and 2 children (1 in a highchair) however no children's menu available. Why have high chairs and advertise as a family establishment when no children's menu is available? Beef roast dinner was advertised as fresh ingredients, it was microwaved with the cling film still stuck to the plate. The food was bland and definitely not fresh, Yorkshire pudding couldnt even be cut through after being covered in gravy. Ordered a small fish and chips rhat came with bread and butter, the one slice of bread came with butter only half spread in the centre not enough to cover edges so the bread was fairly dry and stale. Had to pay extra for curry sauce which came so lumpy you could taste the sauce powder in clumps. Also ordered a small portion of chicken bites and chips for one of the children, the chicken was so chewy he almost choked and had to spit it out and wouldn't eat the rest. The chips were also greasy. There were many elderly customers in who were given trays to carry their own hot drinks back to their tables which I think staff should have assisted with. No staff were seen other than when being served or meals brought out, no one checked to see if our meals were okay or came over to clear plates while we were still seated.

Will it soon be compulsory to take dogs into a café? Ridiculous scenario yesterday of four dogs (and their owners) arriving at once, which everyone just has to accommodate. The sense of entitlement that many dog owners now have is astonishing, as if they deserve special treatment.

nicely presented indoor or outdoor seating premises, called in 1hr before closing time and enjoyed being treated as a 1st customer of the day rather than a last one to serve and close up. just coffee/tea and cakes but still enjoyable after walking around the town. toilets inside were excellent,

We ate here yesterday my wife and I 28th January 2025
We have eaten here many times and although the food is nice I personally think that it's getting a bit pricey lately
We had
Pie & Chips £9.40
Peas £1.40(yes that's right you pay separate for peas/beans etc)
Latte £3.20

Twice ended up costing over £28 for a simple meal
I know that prices are going up but I think that that's just a little bit pricey
It will be a long time before we go again at those prices!!!!

Go up
