I recently visited the Coop in Shepshed and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, the store offers a good range of products, and the parking facilities are convenient, making it easy to shop without worrying about finding a spot.

However, like many places, the store is suffering from price hikes, which can be a concern for budget-conscious shoppers. Even the reduced section is now expensive, almost as if the store has identified a business opportunity by hiking prices on reduced and out-of-date food. This makes it difficult to find affordable options, even among items that are nearing or past their sell-by dates.

The most notable downside was the customer service. On several occasions, I observed staff members engaged in arguments, which affected the overall atmosphere of the store. The checkout process was also extremely slow. Customers are often expected to pack their own bags, which seems to contribute to the delay, especially since there are no self-checkout options available.

I believe the store could greatly benefit from proactive management to oversee operations and improve the shopping experience. Addressing these issues could make the Coop in Shepshed a much more pleasant place to shop.

I often use this store, but most disappointed today, I Nipped in at 3.55 to purchase some cigarettes, I was told they couldn't serve me as they were closing in 5 minutes ! It takes two seconds. There was still people shopping in the store.

Great little place tucked away and if not familiar with shepshed it's easily missed but I went to college there so remembered where it was quite a verity if stuff
