I took a Vienna Wall Clock into Little Chalfont Clocks, yesterday, because I was not sure how to fit the pendulum.
They could have been more friendly or accommodating, giving me a one-to-one lesson in how to remove the clock mechanism, attach the pendulum and replace it all.

Ashley and the team at Chalfont Clocks recently serviced our Grandfather Clock and renovated the face. The clock has passed down 5 generations that I know of and so it is of great sentimental value to our family. Ashley picked it up 9 months ago and returned it last week. It was so worth the wait. Whilst he was reassembling it in the casing, he patiently gave instructions on how to best care for it going forward and information on the working mechanisms of which I was unaware.
Best of all the face had been renovated beautifully. The name of the clock maker had been missing all my life and my fathers' I think. The team have been able to work some magic with their equipment and reinstated the name plus the second hand dial and a calendar dial (which unfortunately no longer has the mechanism to support it).
We are thrilled with it and highly recommended Ashley and his team for helpful, friendly and honest service in all things clocks.

I have nothing but praise for Chalfont Clocks. Their shop is a delight set in a lovely village and the staff could not be any more helpful. I travelled from Essex to leave my father’s 1938 french Bulle clock in their safe hands. The clock has sentimental value as my father is deceased but it really was in a poor state. The clock is now revived and in great working order thanks to their careful attention. They gave me an estimate of costs before commencing work and contacted me a couple of times to keep me up to date. I couldn’t be more pleased and would recommend Chalfont Clocks to anyone who has a clock to repair or who just wants to browse a great range of clocks.

I had my 1930s grandmother clock repaired and fully serviced. The service is excellent, with great knowledgeable and skilful horologists. The strip down and repair took about 7 or 8 months, but it was well worth it. I would highly recommend Chalfont Clocks.

I came to Chalfont Clocks with a problem which was nothing to do with clocks - I was just hoping that they would have the right precision tools to pull out a screw which had got firmly jammed within the mechanism of a cabinet hinge I had been working on, the removal of which had already defeated the contents of both my toolbox and my manicure set! Within a couple of minutes the job was not only complete, with the screw restored to its rightful position within the hinge, but done free of charge. Fantastic and friendly service - I unhesitatingly recommend Chalfont Clocks. (Though I cannot guarantee that you will not be charged if your repair is more complicated than mine...)

I went into the shop today to ask for advice/help with straightening hands on a mantle clock. The gentleman who served me was very knowledgeable, kind and sorted the problem out for me. He wouldn't take any payment as he said it was only a small issue (but it wasn't one I could have solved without his help!). Would definitely recommend this shop to anyone wanting help with clocks! We took our family Grandfather clock to Ashley and the team at Chalfont Clocks. OK it did take a little while as they are busy - but it was worth the wait. Last week Ashley delivered our clock back home, set it up, and it is keeping great time. We have the chime back and the restored dial is beautiful. But with the overhaul of the movement and cleaning and it really does shine now. Thank you.
