A shop that definitely needs to be visited if passing through Cheddar.
This shop was a great find, went here two years ago and it was a must to come back. Popped in multiple times over our weekend stay. Great refrigerated drinks selection, lots of American/Asian drinks at reasonable prices.
Awesome selection of pick'n'mix at a reasonable price. Got a few sweets that I remember from my childhood, very nostalgic.
Loads of cider to choose from. Went for a litre jerry can for £3.99, went down lovely whilst camping. Loads of random nic nacs and essentials.

The only reason I've dropped a is due to the fact the store is very dated, looks like it could do with a good freshen up and the lady that served me seemed like she really didn't want to be there, quite rude, I get we all have bad days but going by other reviews seems like it's fairly common.

To begin this review I wish to start with the statement, if there was an option for 0 stars then that would be my rating. After my visit to this store I can confidently say that I have never experienced such rude behaviour from any individual.

After entering the store I was greeted almost instantly with a barrage of insults from the member of staff after one of my companions proceeded to get exited after seeing their favourite product.

The member of staff shouted aggressively across the store that "If they wanted to behave like kids then they need to be accompanied by an adult". Both of the individuals that this was aimed at were behaving and clearly adults. This was COMPLETELY UNCALLED FOR.

After she shouted this, we then asked who she was speaking to and she proceeded to continue the insults saying that they were behaving like children and that they should leave if they were not going to be with an adult.

We proceeded to ask her why she was making the comment and whether she believed for it to be appropriate to be insulting two young women to which she responded with a repeat of the insult.

I have never experienced such a despicable woman with such a lack of respect for her customers and even though we chose to not give her our business and leave the store, she thought that it was appropriate to follow us all the way out of the door at an uncomfortable distance whilst barraging us with more insults. This woman is truly despicable and made the two women very upset due to her behaviour.

As we were walking out as well we saw members of staff serving ice cream with no gloves on, which was the main point of our visit and even more disgustingly saw the person serving picking her nose and then continuing with the behaviour.

Truly Horrified by this experience and cannot believe that they are still in business. Please ensure that you keep clear of this store.

My family love this shop. I bring the kids here every time we visit Cheddar for the amazing ice cream flavours and great quality ice cream. Blackcurrant and cream being my favourite! The staff are so friendly and they do amazing milkshakes too.

Absolutely disgusted with the staff member who served us here today. £13 for a bag of pick n mix, Not exactly woolies prices but to move my phone out of the way to pay whilst barking at me is not exactly good customer service. Explained that the NFC wouldn't kick in till I had my thumb in the right place and again, shoved phone out of the way stating 'you'll do it our way'.

What I should have done was left the pick n mix there and walked out, as since- its apparent they have been there some time and are stale. Saying that, there was no BBF dates or similar and for the attitude of those behind the counter, generically everyone is a nuisance. (One poor chap wanted one scoop of vanilla in a cone and was barked at that he needed to order a number from a chart).

Save your money and take your order up the road to a friendly, more authentic, less greedy company.

Rudest staff ever…

Was very excited when I saw this shop with its massive marshmallow cables and pick and mix.

However, the owner was absolutely vile, really bad attitude and very rude, didn't even speak to me when I got to the till she just said 'Come here to buy your stuff'

She served me and didn't believe how many items I told her were in the bag, she huffed at me & took them all out and counted them infront of me, I was correct in how many I said..

I had spent just under £30 and I had 3 heavy bags of sweets that had been brought for friends back home, I'm on crutches and can't walk well at all and she could see that I was struggling.

Atter serving me, she just shoved the bags back at me and didn't say thankyou or anything. I was struggling with the 3 heavy bags of sweets and asked if she had a bag, she said they’re 10p which I said was fine and went to pay for one, she snapped at me ‘Cash only for bags’ I didn’t have any cash so had to struggle out the shop with the bags and my crutches. She didn’t give a damn.

Awful woman, awful dingy shop, wouldn’t reccomend at all.

Rubbish service asked for Baileys fudge, only to find out they've fobbed us off with white chocolate fudge. Plus, the rum and raisin fudge has no taste to it at all. No wonder they have such bad reviews
