Ed and his team were amazing. He managed to source a part for my tricky Honda Elysian import that even the main Honda in London couldn’t help with ! And he can do the full repair too! Exceptional customer service Worth me travelling from London to Chobham to always get my car checked at Chequers!

Outstanding customer service and so helpful. Had lots of things done to our cars here and always good. They also go above and beyond. They couldn’t fix my defender so suggested a specialist garage and even offered to help loan/hire a car when we were stuck without a car to go camping. Exceptional!

Bought a 2015 Mazda 2 in July 2023 with a clean MOT record and a full service and MOT before pickup. Purchasing experience was fast and pleasant. Garage was quick to diagnose and fix an Aircon issue that slipped through the net. Fast forward to July 2024 and car has just got through new MOT, only this time with many advisories for underside rust that was not disclosed or visible at purchase. This will likely need to be corrected before next year at my expense and has left a sour taste.

Terrible experience. Do your research before financing a car here. Extremely high rates and unfair contract to get signed into. Other local dealers offer finance contracts with low rates and able to lower monthly costs by paying off extra amounts. Fell into a trap with Chequers and cost me £4000 to buy out of a contract with a 2014 Nissan Juke after only having it for a year. Condition of the car was poor… Inside and paint work was not too bad, but underneath where buyers won’t be looking was in bad condition/rusty and cost me over £1000 to have parts replaced and refitted just so I could trade it in for another finance somewhere better. DO NOT use these scumbags!! I went to multiple dealerships in Woking and Guildford who all said the same thing; that I was completely mugged off by Chequers and their “trusted” brokers etc. I ended up going to FG Barnes for a 2022 Kia Stonic, paying almost the same as I was for the Juke but with lots of added protection/care plans and 3 years warranty all added and with the option to lower monthly rates by one-off payments. Also with a much, much lower APR. Wish I had steered clear of these idiots a long time ago and saved myself a LOT of money and stress and pursuing further action. They need to rethink their finance brokers and other processes and do some business research themselves with local dealerships to see who they use, what they offer and not screw people over. You can shrug your shoulders and play dumb all you want, but eventually it’ll come back around on you. Whoever is looking here to finance cars, PLEASE look elsewhere and find yourself a nicer, newer, trusted vehicle with other dealerships in the area. I I’m sure they will reply to this with more misinforming rubbish or some poor excuse to save face or a way to brush me aside like they’ve done multiple times already. But as I have everything in front of me and now have a decent vehicle, finance plan and a long list of other local dealerships who shook their heads in disgust at Chequers to prove everything, I hope you all trust this review and look elsewhere. I only went there because I was naive and new to car financing and found a Nissan Juke I liked after searching.

Hi, sorry to leave a poor review. This is not about car sales or personal - they are great people. This is about the mechanical side of tjings & dates back a year. In short, I diagnosed (correctly as it has now turned out) a throttle sensor problem & got them to fit a new one. This did not fix the issue, so we ended up soending a fortune on a new ECU & auto electricians. After a year of struggling, the car finally ended up with Isuzu & they diagnosed the fault as - yes - the throttle sensor. It had been reassembled wrongly & had been damaged...the mechanic had just forced it together rather than take his time. So, moral of the story, yes, use them to buy cars...they always have great stock & certainly choose them for being nice people to deal with BUT take your servicing elsewhere. A 100 quid job that should have fixed the car was botched and ended up costing 2500 to "put right" before the original issue & their mistake was uncovered. If you are from Checkers & think this review unfair, please do reach out to me & we can make amends. Meanwhile...take your servicing and other non-car-buying business elsewhere. I hope that is useful.

This garage offer a fantastic service. I recently bought my new car from them and it was a very smooth transaction. The sales person, James, that I dealt with was very friendly and efficient and kept me informed. Big thumbs up from me.

Having a summer sale at present so went and looked, took one for test drive had no pressure in buying went back again, put a deposit down car had service and MOT very happy with the service.
