Recently used here for a funeral reception, Gary really is a lovely and compassionate chappie to both my husband and I. While the community hall's pipping may need a little attention, it suited well for the occasion.

However, I am afraid that is where all the positive praise ends. The business manager, I found to be unprofessional on so many levels. Emails were not responded to in a timely fashion. Instead of just having having a solid price, there was always an 'extra price' for something else.

After being given very specific times to turn up the evening before, she was ill-prepared, no tables ready. Then offered substandard table cloth and the carpets and the toilets were not cleaned.

Our caterer was not able to even wash a spoon in the kitchen! All this on the day before and day of us burying our mother.

Poor show. I feel if Gary took her to a business management course, it would be a good idea. He deserves better.

We recently celebrated my dad's 80th birthday here and it was absolutley wonderful. The newly resurfaced road leading to the club provided a smooth and welcoming approach. The staff at the venue were remarkable, special thanks to Gary & Siobhan for going out of their way to accommodate our needs and ensure that the celebration was nothing short of special. The quality of the catering was impressive, with delicious food that was clearly prepared with care. Plenty of parking, making it easy for all our guests to attend without hassle.The separate bar area was a hit, featuring good bar prices and an inviting atmosphere, thanks to the cheerful and helpful bar staff. Perfect for any social event, the venue is also undergoing continuous updates and renovations, excited to see what they have planned! Will definitely use this venue again.

Great local community club. Recently hired this venue for a work event. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Made sure we had everything we needed. Venue was great, prices were very reasonable. Definitely be back! Thank you again.

AVOID THESE SCAM ARTISTS!

We booked the community sports park for our engagement party last December. Before the day we were promised that the back entrance to our party would be lit up for our guests considering it gets pitch black after 4pm.

However, on the day we were disappointed to find that this had not been set up for us at all, and that scaffolding had been erected in that area blocking our entrance to the venue. This resulted in my father in law standing outside in the cold on the night of our engagement to direct our guests an alternative route!

Secondly, the heating of the room we hired wasn't working so we requested additional heating as we had a number of elderly guests. However, despite continued requests for additional heating, this was not provided and a number of guests wore their coats for the majority of the evening as it was absolutely freezing.

Guests were also appalled by the state of the toilets as no toilet paper was provided whatsoever. Despite our issues encountered above, no remorse or compensation was offered by the venue after a countless number of emails.

The venues lack of interest was appalling and disheartening as we put a lot of money behind the bar and venue itself.

And if that wasn't enough, we were falsely accused of breaking a table when the photo provided by Siobhan clearly shows a poorly refurbished table that had been glued around the edges! Despite any lack of CCTV or bar staff witnessing any sort of anti-social behaviour, the table fell apart when it was lifted and fell on a family members new shoes and bruised his toe.

The venue have used this as an opportunity to not refund our deposit in full and I hope this scam is not used in any future venue hire.

We are extremely disappointed with the lack of communication, dishonesty and disrespect on behalf of Siobhan and Gary and I would strongly urge you to reconsider if you're looking to hire this venue.

Just visited this club for a football match earlier today. Fields were very well kept. Cheap bar prices and helpful staff. Looking forward to our next game.

Road leading up to the venue is a bit bumpy in places. Drive slowly and carefully, otherwise you may burst your car tyre.

Toilets could do with some air freshers.

Bar offer a good selection including tea and coffee.

Plenty of parking too.
