My husband and I had a lovely Valentines meal. The intimate dining room set the ambiance for the evening. With candles and roses on the tables. The 3 course meal was amazing and the staff couldn’t have been more attentive. We will look forward to booking a Sunday lunch soon. Thank you for a wonderful evening x

Found off of the A45.
Access is off of the east bound carriageway only.
Turn into the turning slightly beforehand which looks like an industrial estate.
Then take your first right to the carpark.
The straight road down to the estate is the exit only.
It's free to enter.
Free to park.
There's a museum, flower shop, several places to eat too, plus a bar.
A small dog shop.
Currently there are lambs to view.
There are workshop sheds for crafts aimed at children..
You can park and walk across the fields behind too.
Toilets available.
A nice place to visit, very family oriented and gets very busy with families at the weekends.

There is supposed to be a farm shop opening too. Currently not there as I write this.

Lovely place to visit! We didn't explore as much as we'd like as we got there late in the day but the grounds are lovely and there is a nice little wooden play area along with a informative interactive museum. The best part..... it's free!! No entry fee, no parking fee, no need to book! We will be going back again to explore more.

Nice venue. Cafe not cheap. Lots of children screaming in the cafe made us leave sooner. Next time we will visit in term time!

Visit to Chester House today to take a boat trip along the Nene. Clarke, the skipper, was friendly and knowledgeable about the river, gave a brief safety introduction and then onto the boat, Dancing Queen. It's not a long trip, around 45 minutes, upto to the Wellingborough Lower Lock and Weir and back. Keep an eye out along the banks for local wildlife and views of the river that you wont see from a car. Lunch was the usual high standard from Chester House. Well worth a visit!!

Went to Chester House Estate today and had a lovely time. From wandering through the vintage shop just nest the Chester Farm Tractor, walking through the building to the farm shop and the florist/plant shop, before grabbing a hot beverage and some food from the outdoor bar and exploring the gift shop and bottle shop. We spent time checking out the museum and had a great time learning about the local area, history and extensive Archaeological exploration and excavations done on the farm. Very interesting an a great place to Visit. Loved the zero waste refillable options in the farm shop and a whole host of local foods and beverages.

This would be a great venue for weddings and other events as the Threshing Barn would be a fantastic place to host en event. The Threshing Barn is a stunning building with a small bar on the side with access to toilets and the main farm courtyard. The courtyard itself would add a festive flair for an evening event in the summer months too.

If you are travelling with people with disabilities there is a lesser known entrance, closer to the farm itself, that you can enter with a large close car park there that you can park in. The museum has lift access and the whole place seems to be fairly well thought out for people with disabilities. However the florist/plantshop and one Entrance to the Farm shop might not be accessible for all.

Overall, It was a lovely place to explore. Would definitely recommend.

Great asset to the county. Lots to do and see especially with today's enactments. We found the facilities clean tidy with good service. Museum was really interesting taking you through the history of the site and the current dig findings. Lots to share so best go see. My only negative finding was the remote parking which had a path which was a bit uneven in parts and bit sure if this was suitable in the winter months but I'm sure this is in hand . Otherwise we will be going back to spend more time to discover the grounds and have a bite to eat ..
